Tampa Tribune Site Under Contract For Redevelopment

It was reported that the sales price was $19 million, close to the $18 million Tampa Bay Lightning owner Jeff Vinik paid for the 4- acre Southgate property in downtown Tampa in Decem- ber 2014.
In 2012, the Tampa Trib- une was sold to a private eq- uity group for $9.5 million. The company making the
sale, Media General, Incor- porated, retained ownership of WFLA Channel 8. Its building next door is not part of the redevelopment pack- age.
The rumored developer, The Related Group, is a resi- dential developer that has been active in the area in re- cent years and is planning a tower on Harbour Island. They also constructed and sold the Pierhouse in the Channel District.

The Men of Vision, Inc. will have its 9th Annual Academic Achievement Awards Ceremony and Mother’s Day Celebration on Saturday, May 9, 2015, 11 a. m. – 1 p. m. at Gaither High School, 16200 N. Dale Mabry Highway. There is a small fee.
The theme of the event is “Remembering the Past and Marching Forward For Their Future.”
All proceeds will go to the Men of Vision, Inc. Hillsborough Education Foundation Scholarship Fund.
