Get Up And Get To Work!
egular CNN contributor-commentator, and author Van
Jones, a Black man, has for past weeks, made a com- ment that sent chills down our spines. In essence, he said, even though 70% of Black voters hate Donald Trump’s politics and will not vote for him, that leaves an uncommitted 30 per- cent . . . and if 15 percent of the 30 percent either votes for Trump or sits on its rump, then Trump will win, and Amer- ica’s Dark Ages will most certainly begin.
Therefore, with a Florida Voter Registration Deadline of October 11, 2016, we intend to beat the soup-pot drum with a metal spoon until every eligible “knucklehead” who is not reg- istered to vote starts marching to the beat of the ballot-box.
Are we talking about you or someone you know? If yes, then good! Indeed, one of the worst sights we’ve ever seen can be seen on Election Day when residents of houses and apart- ments within walking distance of election sites spill out in record numbers, but few of them go to the polls. When asked why, they reply, “Voting is ‘white folks business’ and has noth- ing to do with me!”
It’s enough to make you sick to see the pride of our com- munity – young Black men and women – who somehow have been bamboozled into believing that being “null-and-void” is a political weapon. Who told them that lie? Was it the same person who’s presently telling women to boycott the ballot be- cause a woman is running for president, which means her gender neutralizes her credibility? Rubbish!
We cannot afford to lose this future presidential race, cer- tainly not for stupidity. So, we’ll continue to bang our soup- pot drum with a spoon of words until some hungry, undeclared ear convinces its owner to believe in themselves and register to vote.
This is an S.O.S to the 30 lost percent. Our future is in your ballot, or our blood will be on your hands.
Now, tell us why we’re not surprised that Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s former butler and all-around Svengali, Anthony Senecal (pronounced like
the African nation Senegal) posted a racist rant on Facebook calling for the assassination of President Obama, then when confronted by Secret Service, Senecal boasted about having written it.
That Senecal is said to have worked as Trump’s “Man-in- Waiting” for 30 years and was dissuaded from retirement in 2009 by You-Know-Who begs to mean they both had to have known each other exceedingly well (regarding thoughts, beliefs, philosophies, habits, etc.).
Since Senecal currently has been giving tours of Trump’s estate Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, it must mean Trump’s for- mer man-servant possesses clean-clearance as an employee emeritus... right?
Black people who are supporting ‘The Don,’ need imme- diately to recognize that their champion seems to have the bad habit of attracting racists, such as Senecal, former Klan leader David Duke, white nationalist and GOP Convention delegate William Johnson, George Zimmerman (Trayvon Martin’s killer), members of the American National Super PAC (which funds racist robo-calls to voters nationwide), and the American Freedom Party among a growing number of other white supremacist groups.
After asking themselves, “Why is this?” Trump’s Black supporters need not forget that the U. S. Justice Department sued Trump twice for discrimination against Black folks who attempted to rent apartments owned by Mr. Trump.
Clearly, the adage, “Birds of a feather, flock together” is appropriate when considering comments and behaviors that just seem to stick to the hide of Trump’s campaign like ticks on a dog. Yet, even from them who should know better, there’s a deafening silence.
Remember what Jews said, directly after World War Two: “NEVER AGAIN!” That means America, also.
Empowered Greet- ings. Get up and get to work! If you really want to experience all that life has to offer, get up and get to work. Get up and get to work on developing yourself. To im- prove the quality of your life, you must improve the qual- ity of who you are. Get up! Get to work! Give rise to thought of becoming a better you.
Draw encouragement from the notion that when you grow as a person three things will happen.
1. Your faith in your future will grow. Exposure to a new way of thinking shifts your view of seeing things as im- possible to possible. It will remove the limits of ration- alizing why something can’t be done to exploring beyond the boundaries and contem-
I probably shouldn’t use this forum to say this, but I really wouldn’t mind doing something very ugly to George Zimmerman. Se- riously, the way I feel at this moment, I would love to just invite him into a ring some- where and tap his chin with a series of uppercuts.
I know that a person in my position isn’t supposed to provoke or condone violence. But, when it comes to Zim- merman, I believe there should be an exception to the rule.
Thisisamanwhoisa walking personification of mayhem. He attracts it to himself like flies to funk.
Since his acquittal in the murder of Trayvon Mar- tin, Zimmerman has done nothing but continue to en- gage in reckless aggressive behavior. In the last few years he’s been involved in several incidents of road rage, charged with physically assaulting his girlfriend and
plating on the notion of, “How can this be done?”
2. Your finances will grow because you position your- self to earn more when you learn more. Introduction to the right information by school or some other source can directly impact your abil- ity to increase your income.
3. Your caliber of friends will grow go. You will begin to gravitate toward people that are going where you’re going and thinking like you’re thinking. You will un- derstand the value of having great associations by way of friends that bring about great assimilations.
Many people go to work on jobs for countless hours trying to make a better life for themselves and their family, but still they can’t seem to get ahead. I want to
even attempted to shoot one of his former acquaintances. You would think that someone who was able to es- cape prison for killing a child would exist as far off the public radar as possible. Not
this clown.
Instead of thanking his
lucky stars and disappearing into the background like most other infamous and highly disliked individuals normally do, Zimmerman has done everything he can to remain in the spotlight by attracting as much negative energy and attention as hu- manly possible. And now with the news surfacing that he’s attempting to sell the gun he used to kill Trayvon, he’s opened the door for even more people to begin hating him.
This latest stunt solidifies Zimmerman as the text- book definition of a complete a—hole. I mean, how much lower or deplorable can a person get than placing the

weapon they used to commit murder up for sale?
The craziest part of Zim- merman’s twisted antics is that he’s actually trying to encourage people to pay the $5,000 he’s requesting by marketing the gun as, “a part of history.....” Now you see why the idea of hurting him is so attractive?
This is a prime example of what happens when white privilege goes terribly wrong. Those who exploit it for all it’s worth have a tendency to take it to this type of ex- treme.
It wasn’t enough for Zimmerman to beat the charge. His real enjoyment seems to come from contin- uously being able to pour salt into an open wound so that we’ll never forget it.
When I called a friend and asked her if she was aware of this latest Zimmerman de- bacle she responded, “Don’t worry. He’ll get his in the end.” For me, at least, that day can’t come soon enough.”
