   Masjid An Nasr To Host 3rd Black History Awards Banquet
 Awards will be given to community persons
Masjid An Nasr is hosting its 3rd Annual Black History Awards Banquet on Friday, February 26, 2021, at 7 p. m. The keynote address will be given by Imam Jihad Amos Muhammad on “Prison Reform.” A portion of the proceeds will go toward MASJID AN NASR FOOD PANTRY that has served over 1,000 families in 2020 in the underserved communities.
This year’s awardees will be: Leon Crews, Yvette Lewis, Nancy Milan, Askia Aquil, and The An- drew Joseph, III Foundation. This charity event can be sup- ported by going to Cash App ($masjidnasr) or Eventbrite

Join local historian Fred Hearns, along with curators from the Tampa Bay History Center and community leaders for a look at Tampa’s Jackson House – the city’s only remain- ing African American boarding house - and its relationship to local Black history. The panel discussion will also highlight ongoing efforts to preserve and restore the historic downtown site.
