5th Annual Mother’s Day Awards And Gospel Musical
The 5th Annual Mother’s Day Awards and Gospel Musical hosted by Krunk For Christ Youth was held on Saturday, May 11, 2019. The musical was held at New Salem Primitive Baptist Church. (Photos by Julia Jackson)
Mrs. Maggie Straford, 107 years old, was the Oldest Mother honored. The Krunk For Christ youth presented her a basket filled with a variety of goodies. She is shown with her granddaughter, Angela Staford, Mary Benson, Jalen Patty, Isaiah Saffold, Bishop Michelle B. Patty, Elijah Saffold, Jeremiah Saf- fold, Katrice Benson, Michelle Holloway, and LaDrea Correa.
The second Oldest Mother honored with a gift basket from the youth was Mother Thelma Green, 93 years old. She is shown with her daughter, Vanetta Johnson.
Bishop Michelle B. Patty presented a certificate to City of Tampa Chief of Police, Brian Dugan on behalf of the Krunk For Christ youth group.
The Exciting Gospel Warriors were among the musical guests on the program.
Corey Felton, “King Cobra,” was the Master of Cere- monies.
Ms. Jacqueline Billups gave the welcome address for the program.
Min. Rebecca Simmons attended the Mother’s Day event.
