Community High Noon Prayer Band Celebrates
29th Anniversary
On January 16th, the Community High Noon Prayer Band celebrated 29 glorious years with a fellow- ship luncheon at a popular restaurant. Program partici- pants included: Gladys Bir- kett, Mozelle Hester, Erma Ford, Barbara J. Little, Katherine Clark, Bernice Reese, Eleanor Larkins, Dorothy West, Norma Morton and Pres- ident, Alice McCarty.
Prayers go out to Pro- gram Chairperson, Mary
Ann Thornton, who was in the hospital.
Other members attending were: Lizzie Adkins, Roesolia Young, Victoria Brown, Olivia Darby, Lorraine Simmons, Annie L. Vaugh, Ruth Hires, Verdell Bell and Berlinda Howe. Guests at- tending were: Ersie Mar- tin, Melvin Morton, Barbara Grant, Pearl Davis, and Cora Carswell. To God be the Glory!
‘Family Feud’ – Davis Family Update: Airing Dates February 12th and 13th
WTTA – 7:30 p. m.
Congratulations to the Davis Family, who were se- lected to appear on the game show, Family Feud. They traveled to Atlanta, GA and Los Angeles, CA to compete on the show with host Steve Harvey. The team consisted of Regina (Wendy) Davis-Hightower, De- vyni Hightower, Bran- don Hightower, Ryan McCall, and Dwayne Sanders, Jr. with Jackie Davis-Mix as the alternate. This was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that they will for- ever cherish and remember!

Progress Village Civic Council
Thanks to everyone that helped and supported the Community Clean-up that was held on Saturday. We were able to fill 6, 30-Cubic- Yard Dumpsters. In addition, we passed out over 850 Dis- aster Preparedness Starter Kits to each residence.
The Clean-up project and Kits were made possible by Hillsborough Community College (MLK Day of Service Grant), Hillsborough County Board of County Commis- sioners, Office of Neighbor- hood Relations, Public Utilities Department, Emer- gency Services and Parks and
Recreation Department.

 Saturday Afternoon At The Movies: ‘The Dark Tower’

The last Gunslinger, Roland Deschain, has been locked in an eternal battle with Walter O’Dim, also known as the Man in Black, determined to prevent him from toppling the Dark Tower, which holds the universe together. With the fate of the worlds at stake, good and evil will collide in the ultimate battle as only Roland can defend the Tower from the Man in Black. This Film is rated PG-13.
