Single Mom Of 3 Launches Dual Businesses
BY IRIS B. HOLTON Sentinel City Editor
Several years ago, a local woman decided to become a business owner. She opened a home health agency and a not- for-profit organization. The businesses were successful. However, she realized that she needed to get her personal life in order.
She closed the businesses and moved to Detroit, where her parents operate a church. Now, having become refo- cused, Ms. Briana Kim- brough is ready to start over.
She has created two busi- nesses that are based in Clear- water, but cover a tri-county area that includes Pinellas, Hillsborough, and Pasco Coun- ties.
Ms. Kimbrough said America’s Sparkling Clean Cleaning Services and Easy- Care Living Homemaker Com- panion Agency, Inc., are doing very well.
However, her goal is to reestablish a not-for-profit or-

ganization that allows her to give back to the community by adopting families during the holidays, hosting back-to- school bashes, and making do- nations.
“I was in Detroit for 1-1/2 years helping my parents oper- ate their church. But, I prayed to God and asked Him if Michigan was the place He wanted me and my three boys to be. He answered me and told me to move back to Florida because I had a mis-
sion that wasn’t complete.” Ms. Kimbrough, 32, moved back to Florida and worked two full time jobs to make ends meet while taking care of her three sons. I knew what God had told me and I knew that if I stayed focused that I was going to start a busi-
ness as well as a non-profit.” A native of Clearwater, Ms. Kimbrough attended Dunedin High School and St. Petersburg Community Col- lege. She and her sons attend
Revealing Truth Ministries. Opening a non-profit to help others is not just a desire for Ms. Kimbrough, it is her
passion.
“I love working with the
community. I love to help the people out there who actually need the help and appreciate it when it’s given. And, I love that I can change someone’s life and even their outlook on life just by giving them a helping hand. I’m just so glad that I was obedient and moved back. I’m ready to complete my mis- sion.”

A young Tampa man is well on his way to making his career dreams come true. Ethan Floyd graduated from the University of California Berke- ley, School of Law last month.
Floyd was 1 of 19 African Americans in a class of 309, to walk across the stage with his Juris Doctorate Degree on May 11, 2018.
Now, he is in the final stages of preparing to take the Cali- fornia Bar Examination next month. His goal is to pursue a career in law.
An enthusiastic Floyd said, “It has been a journey and a big thank you to everyone for their support and encouragement along the way. I can’t wait to see what’s next.”
Floyd is the only child of Ms. Beleria Floyd. He attended the public schools Hillsbor- ough County and graduated

from H. W. Blake in 2011. He is a member of First Baptist Church of College Hill.
Floyd continued his educa- tion at Howard University, where he earned his Degree as a Political Science major, with a minor in Sociology. He grad- uated Magna Cum Laude, with
a grade point average of 3.7 in 2015.
Floyd enjoys traveling. While at Howard University, during his junior year, he stud- ied abroad and had the oppor- tunity to visit Rome, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Morocco, Lon- don, Paris, Amsterdam, Venice, Naples, and Berlin, Germany.
He had set a personal goal to visit the other six continents before he reached the age of 30. He was successful in visit- ing, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa, and Australia. He has yet to visit Antarctica and other places in North America.
This goal is in keeping with his goal to practice Interna- tional Law.
The 25-year-old intertwined his travels with his studies. He completed internships in Co- lumbia, South America and Cuba; he spent a semester in Australia, and interned at the Aboriginal Legal Service.
