Two people were injured by gunfire during an early morn- ing shooting. The shooting took place at the Metro 510 Apart- ments, 510 E. Harrison Street.
Tampa Police officers were dispatched to the complex after receiving reports of several gunshots being fired. When they arrived at the complex around 3 a.m., Tuesday, they found a female victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Fire Rescue transported the woman to a local hospital, where she was treated for her injury and then released.
About 10 minutes after po- lice arrived on the scene, offi- cers were informed that a man had driven himself to the hos- pital. He was suffering from
gunshots and was admitted to the hospital in critical, but sta- ble condition. His condition has improved and he is currently listed in stable condition, police said.
Detectives released limited information on the suspect. He is described as a Black man who wore a gray hoodie sweat- shirt and was last seen driving a black van.
Detectives said they do not believe this is a random act and believe the man was the in- tended victim. The investiga- tion is continuing.

The Bradenton Police De- partment is investigating a unique type of burglary. The in- cident took place on Christmas Eve.
According to police, the vic- tim was awakened in the middle of the night by an intruder. The intruder was sucking the man’s toes.
Investigators said the man was sleeping in his bed when he discovered the strange man in his home. The victim said he told the intruder that he didn’t have any money because he assumed he was being robbed.
The intruder reportedly told the man that he was there to suck on his toes. The victim then punched the intruder and forced him outside. The intruder re- portedly told the man he had a gun and attempted to grab his groins.
The 20-year-old victim con- tinued to hit the man as the fight went outside. He then ran inside and called police.
Police said at that point, the intruder jumped on top of the victim’s car and stomped it until the windshield broke before flee- ing the scene.
Police called the K-9 units, but they were not able to locate the man. Police then took DNA from the victim’s toes. The inves- tigation is continuing.
