Hillsborough County Chapter Of Charmettes, Inc. Has Been Busy
Organization to hold 2018 National Convention in Tampa
Members of the Hillsbor- ough County Chapter trav- eled via chartered bus to attend The Charmettes, Inc.'s 62nd Annual National Convention, held in Kenner, New Orleans, LA, June 14 - 17, 2017, at the Hilton New Orleans Airport.
Charmettes Veronica Campbell and Janie Williams of the Alachua County Chapter also traveled with the group.
During the convention, two of Hillsborough County Chapter's members were elected to the National Exec- utive Board. Charmette Evelyne Keeton was elected National Financial Secretary, and Charmette Delores Williams was elected National Parliamen- tarian.
Charmette Corlis McIntyre was awarded the Gwendolyn Baker Rodgers Spirit Award, and Charmette Delores Williams was awarded and presented a gold, jeweled studded pin for attending thirty five (35) consecutive national conventions.

Hillsborough County ex- tended an enthusiastic wel- come invitation to the national body to come to Tampa, Florida for the 63rd Annual National Conven- tion, June 18 - 20, 2018. The chapter presented the "Key to the City of Tampa" to the National President, Charmette Barbara Mor- ton.
Locally, the chapter was busy preparing for the end of the 2016 - 2017 fiscal year, by fulfilling their commitments to selected charities. The chapter donated $400.00 to the Greater Mt Carmel AME Church's Children's Summer Art Camp and the chapter also purchased and donated 10 7-inch WI-FI Tablets to the Thumb Print Montessori Children's House.
Charmette Antonia Barber and the Charity Committee chaired both projects.
