Eleven Hillsborough County Public Schools Students Honored With Prestigious National Merit Scholarships
The National Merit Scholarship Corporation has announced this year’s National Merit $2,500 scholarship winners. Eleven students in Hills- borough County Public Schools have achieved this prestigious honor after competing from a talent pool of more than 15,000 Finalists across the nation.
These National Merit Scholars were selected by a committee based on their academic records, PSAT scores, essays, and poten- tial for success in college. Four scholarship winners come from King High School alone.
“These young scholars represent our future, and this community is excited to watch each student blos- som in their postsecondary career where they will un- doubtedly continue to shine. I want to congratu- late not only these students,
