Malcolm Nance Leaves MSNBC And Joins The Fight In Ukraine
MALCOLM NANCE
Black Lawmakers Call Out DeSantis For ‘Racist’ Actions In
Newly departed MSNBC for- eign-policy analyst Malcolm Nance revealed Monday evening that he is on the ground in Ukraine fighting the invading Russian forces.
Nance, a retired U. S. Navy intelligence officer, told Joy Reid on The ReidOut that he had joined the country’s inter- national legion about a month ago.
“The more I saw of the war going on, the more I thought,
‘I’m done talking, all right? It’s time to take action here,’” said Nance, suited up in a flak jacket and carrying an assault rifle. “I am here to help this country fight... what essen- tially is a war of extermina- tion. This is an existential war and Russia has brought it to these people and they are mass murdering civilians, and there are people here like me who are here to do something about it.”
Black Florida lawmakers gathered in the heart of Little Haiti on Monday to send Gov. Ron DeSantis a message on redrawn congressional maps.
“Let my people vote,” state Rep. Dotie Joseph said to the audience.
Joseph was joined by more than 20 other lawmakers and community members who ex- pressed their disappointment, yet lack of surprise, when it came to DeSantis’ plan to re- draw Florida’s congressional districts. The map, which would add four Republican seats and remove two districts currently held by Black De- mocrats, will be debated on Tuesday during a special ses- sion of the Legislature.
“We, as a community, have seen this written far too many times,“ said former state Sen. Dwight Bullard, who now serves as political director for New Florida Majority, “and guess what? We will not stand for it, we will not allow it.”
Speakers referred to De- Santis’ actions as “racist.” Bullard listed DeSantis’ previous pieces of legislation — from 2021’s “anti-riot” law,

which a federal district judge blocked for being “vague and overbroad” as well as an attack on free speech, to the most re- cent “Stop WOKE Act,” which detractors say prevents the ac- curate teaching of Black his- tory — as examples of the governor’s “acts of racism.” The congressional map was just the latest example, Bullard continued.
“I don’t know how many acts
of racism one has to do to be- come a racist but let’s just say if this was a video game, he would be going for the high score,” said Bullard, who is a former high school history teacher.
In an email response, De- Santis spokesperson Christina Pushaw wrote that they “won’t be responding to unsubstantiated allegations from partisan critics.
President Joe Biden Told Barack Obama He Will Run Again In 2024
Joe Biden has told Barack Obama he will run for re-election in 2024, accord- ing to a Washington website, the Hill.
The site cited two anony- mous sources. One was quoted as saying Biden “wants to run and he’s clearly letting every- one know”.
It was not clear when Biden told Obama his plans. But Obama visited the White House earlier this month, to celebrate the Affordable Care Act.
Introducing his host, Obama called him “Vice- President Biden”.
“That was a joke,” he said, to laughter.
Biden was vice-president to

Obama from 2009 to 2017. He won the presidency on his own third attempt in 2020 (after short-lived campaigns in 1988 and 2008), beating Don-
ald Trump.
At 78, Biden was the oldest
president ever inaugurated. If he won again he would be 82 at the start of his term.
