MRS. BESSIE THOMAS
Mrs. Bessie Thomas of Tampa, FL, passed away Tues- day, October 11, 2022. Funeral Services will be held on Satur- day, October 22, 2022, at 2:00 p.,m. at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, 3005 E. Ellicott St., Tampa, FL. 33610, with Pas- tor Bruce Bryant, Officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park. MASK RECOMMENDED.
Mrs. Thomas was a native of Florida and a resident of Tampa for 74 years. She attended Mid- dleton High School, Class of ’66, and was a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, Tabitha Court #15 HOJ, Harram Court #96 DOI, Lola Simon #33 OES, and Electa Assembly #147 OGC. She was employed as a Customer Service Representa- tive at Sears and Roebuck and earned her Mixology License as a Bartender where she worked for numerous clubs in the Tampa area.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her sons, Keith An- toine McCauley (Paula), Craig Gerod McCauley, and Xavier Denod Thomas; grandchildren, Britney McCauley, Cratiana Mc- Cauley, Keith McCauley, II, Di- aneshia Gaston (Leigh), Shaquila McCauley, Shaquone McCauley, X’Zoria Thomas, Xakaiya Thomas, Xavier Denod, Thomas, Jr., and Xamaya Thomas; 11 great-grands; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

MS. WILLIE MAE GADSDEN
Ms. Willie Mae Gadsden of Tampa, FL, passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2022. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2022, 2:00 p. m. at Mt. Zion A. M. E. Church, 5920 Robert Tolle Dr., Riverview, FL 33578, with Rev- erend Karen Jackson Sims, Officiat- ing. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. A repast will be held at Tampa Park Plaza, 1314 E. Scott Street, Tampa, FL 33602, immediately following the interment. MASK RECOM- MENDED.
Ms. Gadsden was a native and resident of Tampa, Florida for 84 years. She attended Dobyville Ele- mentary School, Carver Junior High School, Don Thompson/Howard W. Blake High, and St. Leo College. Ms. Gadsden was a member of Mt. Zion A. M. E. Church, Riverview, FL. She was em- ployed as a mental health social counselor at Mental Health Care, INC.
She is preceded in death by: her daughter, Renee Thomas; mother, Willie Mae Harris; father, John Starling; three brothers, Robert Thomas, Johnny and Freddie Star- ling; and four sisters, Rose Thomas, Vera Hart, Ira Lee Ennis, and El- nora Mayweather.

MS. BRENDA LEE IVEY
Ms. Brenda Lee Ivey passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2022. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2022, at 1:00 p. m. at Mount Mo- riah Missionary Baptist Church, 5909 Vel Street, Wimauma, FL 33598, with Pastor Johnnie Tun- stall, Presiding and Pastor Ikie Bunton, Eulogist. Interment will follow in Wimauma Community Cemetery. MASK RECOM- MENDED.
Brenda was born in Kittery, Maine, while her father served in the U. S. Military. Her family moved to Florida when she was a baby. She was a good and faith- ful member of Mount Moriah Missionary of Baptist Church of Wimauma. She grew up in Wimauma and attended the pub- lic schools of Hillsborough County and was a graduate of East Bay Senior High, Class of 1983. She was employed with the City of Tampa for twenty-seven and a half years, before med- ically retiring.
She was the best mother she could be to her son, Michael. Un- fortunately, due to COVID she only was able to see her only grandson, Samson once in per- son, but Michael made sure to face-time her often so she could see them both.
She was a caring, loving, and fun person to be around at all times. Brenda was an awesome friend and a very, very outspo- ken person. She enjoyed watch- ing movies and sports, especially her favorite NFL Team, the Dal- las Cowboys.
She was preceded in death by: her mother, Mrs. Katherine Lee; guardians, John and Minnie Covin; sister, Katherine Lee Sharp; and sister/friend, Andra Singleton.

Mr. Harry was a native of Wildwood, FL, and a resident of Tampa for 45 plus years. He at- tended Sumter County School System. He was employed as a Sanitation Worker for the City of Tampa.
