    Under the leadership of the Illustrious Potentate, Honorary Past Imperial Po- tentate (HPIP) Lesley “Les” Miller, Jr., several Nobles from Harram Tem- ple No. 23, Inc. Prince Hall Shriners, assembled and distributed 60 holiday food baskets to selected families.
This event took place on Saturday, December 16,
2017, at the 29th Street Open Market in Tampa and Noble Darrell T. Thomas spearheaded and served as Project Chairman for this community/charita- ble program, which is an annual event for the Har- ram Temple No. 23, Inc.
Each holiday food bas- ket consisted of the follow- ing items: a (17-21 lb.)
turkey, stuffing, turkey gravy, large turkey pan, 5 lb. bag of white potatoes, sev- eral canned food items, box of cake mix and candy canes.
Harram Temple No. 23, Inc. is a 501(C) (3) organi- zation. The reporter is HPIP Michael Dozier, who is also Temple Director, Pub- licity/Promotion.
    Supervisor Of Elections Announces Scholarship Opportunity For Students
 Craig Latimer, Hills- borough County Supervisor of Elections is inviting col- lege students to apply for a scholarship opportunity. The scholarship is provided by the Florida State Association of Supervisors of Elections (FSASE).
The FSASE is offering three $1,200 scholarships to eligible Florida residents currently enrolled or ac- cepted as full-time students in a senior college or univer- sity in Florida.
Hillsborough County res- idents must apply through the Hillsborough County Su- pervisor of Elections Office.
Some of the require- ments are: students must be registered to vote in Florida and submit their applica- tions to the county in which

they are registered; students must be majoring in political science, public or business administration, journalism, or mass communications; students must have finished two years of junior college or undergraduate work and
have enough credits for en- rollment as a junior; stu- dents must be a resident of Florida for two years before the current academic year in which the application is made; and students must be able to demonstrate finan- cial need.
The office will review all applications and send one fi- nalist to the FSASE Scholar- ship Committee for consideration.
