    Charlie Crist Fundraiser Reception
Florida Boys And Girls And Their Toys
    Exhibit will be on display, October 1, 2022 - January 5, 2023.
Toys sure have changed over the decades.
An exhibit at the Sulphur Springs Museum will give you an opportunity to reminisce or learn how Florida’s boys and girls had fun with simple toys.
Years ago, toys were simpler and didn’t involve screens or computer circuitry. A simple stick with a replica of a horse’s head at one end was a horse you “rode.” All you needed was a coiled piece of wire for a Slinky, or a thin, plastic circle for a hula hoop, and with some imagination and ingenuity, you had a toy that provided hours of fun.
Travel back in time with this exhibit from the Museum of Florida History and recapture the magical way that children played with their toys.
The Sulphur Springs Museum and Heritage Center is located at 1101 East River Cove St., Tampa, FL 33604.
Several Tampans were among those who attended a fundraising reception for gubernatorial candidate (D) Charlie Crist. The event was held at Swope Rodante law firm in YBOR City.
Among those in attendance shown with Crist were: Atty. Sean Shaw, Atty. Arthenia Joyner and businessman Marvin Knight.
