Delicious Microwaveable MugCakeRecipes Work
Finally! Microwaveable desserts in a mug that actually work (no, really!). See for yourself with one of these recipes.
Confetti Mug Cake
3 tablespoons yellow cake mix
1 tablespoon water
2 tablespoons unsweetened applesauce
1 tablespoon egg
1 teaspoon confetti candy sprinkles, plus extra for
garnish
3 tablespoons Rich & Creamy rainbow chip frosting 1 maraschino cherry
DIRECTIONS: Lightly spray microwavable mug (8-10
oz.) with cooking spray. In small bowl, beat cake mix, water, applesauce and egg. Fold in 1 teaspoon sprinkles; immediately pour into mug.
Microwave uncovered on High 1 minute. Cake is done when toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Let stand 5 seconds. Top with frosting, additional sprinkles and cherry. Serve immediately.

Lime Coconut Mug Cake

4 tablespoon all purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
2 1/2 tablespoon granulated sugar 4 tablespoon full fat coconut milk 1 teaspoon coconut flakes
1/4 teaspoon lime zest
DIRECTIONS: Combine all ingredients except lime zest and
coconut flakes into a microwave safe mug. Stir with a small
whisk until batter is smooth. Make sure you get all the flour, sometimes it gets stick around the edges of the mug. Briefly mix in coconut flakes and lime zest.
Microwave for about 1 minute. Top of cake should be dry and look finished. Top with additional lime zest before eating.
Build-Your-Own Microwave Mug Cobbler
1⁄2 cup fruit (blueberries, strawberries, peaches, etc.), chopped
2 tablespoons sugar
1⁄4 cup Original BisquickTM mix
1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon “if desired”
1⁄2 teaspoon grated lemon or orange peel “if desired” 1 tablespoon nuts (pecans, almonds, walnuts, etc.),
chopped, and olf-fashioned oats “if desired” Coarse sugar, for sprinkling “if desired”
1 tablespoon milk
DIRECTIONS: In microwavable mug, mix fruit and 1 table- spoon of the sugar. In a bowl, mix BisquickTM mix, remaining 1 tablespoon sugar, and any of the "if desired" ingredients. Add milk, and stir until a thick dough forms. Drop dough in clumps over fruit in mug.
Microwave uncovered on High 90 seconds to 2 minutes or until fruit bubbles to top of mug. Cobbler will be very hot; wait 5 minutes before serving. Top with whipped cream or ice cream, if desired.
Salted Caramel Mug Cake
4 tablespoons each of all purpose flour and sugar 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
1/4 teaspoon each baking powder and salt
1 egg – beaten
3 tablespoons skim milk 1 tablespoon vegetable oil 2 salted caramels
DIRECTIONS: Into a small bowl add: flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, salt, egg, milk, and vegetable oil. Mix to combine. Pour mixture into a regular sized coffee mug. Drop caramels into center of mixture one at a time.
Microwave on high for one minute and 30 seconds. If needed (if cake batter is still gooey), microwave on high for up to an additional 30 seconds.
Cookies & Cream Mug Cake
1/4 cup white chocolate chips 3 tablespoon whole milk
4 tablespoon all-purpose flour 1/4 teaspoon baking powder 1/2 tablespoon vegetable oil
2 Oreo cookies
DIRECTIONS: Combine white chocolate chips and milk in an over- sized microwave-safe mug. Microwave for about 40 seconds. Mix with a small whisk until chocolate is completely melted.
Add flour, baking powder, and oil and whisk until batter is smooth.
Using a fork, smash Oreos into the batter until only small chunks of cookie remain.
Cook in microwave for about 1 minute. Let cake cool a few minutes before eating. Cake is best con-
sumed while still warm.
Chocolate Molten Lava Mug Cakes
Cook up a mugful of divine chocolate goodness... in the microwave in just 1 minute!
1 box dark chocolate cake mix
1-1/3 cups white angel food cake mix (1/2 box) Water
4 bars (4.25 oz each) Dark mildly sweet choco- late
DIRECTIONS: In gallon-size resealable food-stor-
age plastic bag, combine cake mixes; seal bag and shake well to mix.
To make 1 mug cake, spray microwavable mug (about 12 oz) with cooking spray. Place 3 table- spoons dry cake mixture into mug. Add 2 tablespoons water; stir well to blend. Place 3 chocolate bar rectangles (not overlapping) on top of cake batter in mug.
Microwave uncovered on High 45 seconds to 1 minute or until cake is slightly moist on top. Do not overcook, or cake will be dry. Let stand 1 minute.
Turn upside down onto serving plate, or eat out of mug. Top with whipped topping, if desired. Repeat step 2 to make up to 20 mug cakes.
