Lightning Lose Game
LeBron James: Schedule Gives Warriors Extra Off Days
LEBRON JAMES
INDEPENDENCE, Ohio -- The Golden State Warriors cer- tainly earned home-court ad- vantage in the NBA Finals, with 67 regular-season wins com- pared to the Cleveland Cava- liers' 53, but LeBron James believes that the NBA sched- ule-makers gave the Warriors a favorable slate in between Fi- nals games as well.
"I know it's a difficult schedule," James said after shoot around Tuesday as the Cavs prepared for Game 3 later that night. "I looked at the schedule and they have more time in their home than we have. They gave us every other day back home. They give those guys 2 1⁄2 days of rest when they go back home. But, that's the schedule and it is what it is."
Indeed, the Finals schedule called for an extra off day in be- tween Games 1 and 2 in the Bay Area, and the series will include an extra off day in between Game 4 and Game 5, which is a home game for the Warriors, and again between Game 6 and Game 7, another home game for Golden State, should the se- ries go the distance.
James said the Cavs' plane arrived back in Cleveland at 6 a.m. Monday after leaving Oak- land, California, late Sunday night after Game 2. Shortly thereafter, the team met at noon for a film session at the practice facility.
"Not many hours of sleep but, I mean, the schedule it is what it is and you try to get as much rest as you can," James said.
Dwight Howard’s Ex Files For Child Support
Four To Blackhawks
The mother of one of Dwight Howard’s children has filed a lawsuit against the NBA star claiming he owes her thousands of dollars in child support after reneging on a private arrangement.
According to TMZ, the Florida woman and former girlfriend, Tiffany Render, said she and the athlete struck a private deal in 2013 in which he would pay her $10,000 in child support.
But Tiffany claims in the lawsuit that Howard hasn’t lived up to his end of the bar- gain. Since January, he’s only paid her half of what he owes.
Tiffany says the finan- cial slight has forced her to reconsider their arrange- ment, and since he makes more than $27 million per year in salary and endorse- ments, she wants more money.
The child is four years
In their quest for their sec- ond Stanley Cup, the Tampa Bay Lightning will be return- ing to Amalie Arena for game five in their series against the Chicago Blackhawks.
On Wednesday night, the Lightning had trouble scor- ing, and loss to the Black- hawks 2-1, leaving the series tied at 2-2.
Lightning goalie Ben Bishop didn’t make the trip because of a shoulder injury, and was replaced by Andrei
Vasilevskly.
The Lightning players were very upbeat after the loss, and attributed it to their inability to score more than one goal.

old, and Tiffany says she needs the cash to put the child in expensive private schools, pay for extracurric- ular activities and fund social activities like birthday par- ties and sleepovers that will help the child make friends.
Since the child has a fa- mous father, Tiffany also says she’ll need extra dough for therapy to “deal with the unique issues involved in being the child of a celebrity.”
Cardale Jones: 'I Have Two Guys In Front Of Me'
COLUMBUS, Ohio -- There are two different kinds of champions at Ohio State, and right now, Cardale Jones has only been one of them.
The redshirt, junior quar- terback stunned the world with his three-game run through the postseason, claiming a Big Ten title in his starting debut and following that up with consecutive up- sets against Alabama and Oregon, leading the Buckeyes to the crown in the inaugural College Football Playoff.
Those championships can never be taken away from him, and Jones earned the rings that came with them. But based on Ohio State’s higher, in-house standards for performance, there is still plenty of work to be done. That is just one reason Jones considers himself still a third- stringer on the most loaded unit in the nation at the most important position in the game.
"Weasateamandmeas an individual get a lot of praise for how well we did in those games, but I didn’t even

grade out as a champion as far as coach’s standards," Jones said. "I haven’t proven anything yet. I haven’t proven anything to myself, my team- mates, and my coaches to label myself as a starter. That’s my opinion, my per- sonal opinion.
"I’m kind of harder on my- self than the coaches, but I was thrown into that position. I didn’t beat out J.T. [Bar- rett] going into the Michigan game. I didn’t beat out Brax- ton [Miller]. Unfortunately, both guys got hurt, and luck- ily enough I was prepared to try to take advantage of the situation."
