Teenager Arrested After Crashing Car Into Pool
KOREE STANTON
Tampa Police arrested a 17- year-old after he reportedly crashed a car into a swimming pool Wednesday.
Police said Koree Stanton struck an occupied vehicle at North Ola and Country Club, then fled the scene of a traffic crash with minor injuries.
Police said Stanton drove in a reckless manner, and lost control of his vehicle. He con- tinued to travel through a pri- vacy fence and screen enclosure and came to rest in the back- yard pool at 10507 North Otis.
After the crash, Stanton was able to get out of the sub- merged car uninjured and wait for police. A dive team arrived to assist in removing the car from the pool, the total damage in the incident is in excess of $30,000.
Stanton was charged with reckless driving, leaving the scene of a traffic crash, and driving without a valid license. He was transported to the Ju- venile Assessment Center.
Fraud Suspect Sought
Man Arrested For Operating A Marijuana Grow House
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office reports that on June 4th between 5:45 p. m. and 7:45 p.m., unknown sus- pects broke into several vehi- cles parked in the area of Parsons Avenue and Robert- son Street in Brandon.
The suspects took purses other visible items from the vehicles.
On June 5th, deputies said an unknown female tried to cash a stolen check in Plant City by using one of the Bran- don burglary victim’s informa- tion. The check had been reportedly stolen from Lake-
land on June 3rd during a string of vehicle burglaries at a public park.
The white or Hispanic fe- male suspect is believed to be in her 20s, possibly wearing a black wig and driving an un- known make or model 4-door sedan.
Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay is offering a reward of up to $3,000 for information that leads to the identification and arrest of the unknown suspect in this case.

On June 8th at 8 p.m., Hills- borough County Sheriff’s deputies executed a warrant at 15901 Timberwood Drive. During the search it was con- firmed that the residence was being used to facilitate a mari- juana grow operation.
Deputies seized 237 pounds of marijuana and a 2007 Suzuki SUV. The street value of the marijuana seized is $240,000.

Stakeout Catches Shoplifters
On May 13th, the Lakeland Police Department began in- vestigating a series of retail thefts from Macy’s Depart- ment Store, 3800 North Road 98. Between May 13th and June 10th, a suspect was seen shoplifting on seven different occasions and each time he was able to elude apprehen- sion. Designer purses and clothing had been stolen which totaled approximately $10,000.
On June 10th, detectives worked with Macy’s Loss Pre- vention by conducting a stake- out of the department store. At 6:45 p. m., two people were seen entering the store and stacking up 26 pair of men’s shorts valued at almost $600. Both suspects worked together during the theft and left the store without paying for the merchandise. To their sur- prise, they were greeted by two detectives and arrested.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help in identifying a man sus- pected of robbing a store June 7th.
Deputies said at 12:11 a. m., a Hispanic male entered the Ex- press Mart Store at 6812 North 56th Street. The suspect report- edly pointed a short-barreled, semi-automatic shotgun at the clerk and demanded money. The clerk complied and the sus- pect fled south from the store.
The suspect is described a last seen wearing a baseball cap with a red bill, dark colored hoodie and a plaid long sleeved shirt, dark sweat pants with a white stripe down the side, and black and white tennis shoes.

Four people, three of them Plant City residents, were ar- rested in what police are de- scribing as a violent robbery at a Lakeland convenience store Tuesday night.
Polk County Sheriff’s deputies said the clerk at a Marathon Convenience Store at 2045 Ariana Street was pis- tol whipped and shots were fired at a witness in the park- ing lot.
Cedric Griffin, 27, was charged with robbery with a
firearm, conspiracy to commit armed robbery, armed bur- glary with assault/battery, and attempted first-degree mur- der. Dominique Robinson, 27, Curtnisha Young, 19, and Ajaysia Smith, 18, were charged with conspiracy to commit armed robbery .
An alert deputy spotted the suspects’ car after the robbery on Memorial Boulevard. Deputies said they found a handgun and a large amount of cash inside the vehicle.
