Tree-Lighting Ceremony Set For December 8th

This week’s Spotlight feature is the lovely Chrishelle, and she believes modeling is an art she truly enjoys. 21017 is the 10th year for the annual event
This year, 2017, is a special year for the Aesthetics and Beautification Committee of the East Tampa Community Revitalization Partnership (ETCRP). The Committee is celebrating 10 years of the Community Tree-Lighting Ceremony.
This year, the ceremony will be held on Friday, De- cember 8, 2017, 5:30 p. m. at the Cyrus Greene Community Center, 2101 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd.

  Wrong-Way Driver Charged With DUI
The Tampa Police Depart- ment has arrested a man and charged him in connection with a traffic accident. The multi-car accident took place Saturday on the Courtney Campbell Causeway.
According to police, Collin John Cole, 26, was driving a Ford F150 truck and struck the back of a Hyundai Santa Fe, just east of Ben T. Davis Beach. Cole reportedly did not stop and fled the scene traveling west in the eastbound lanes.

T. Davis Beach, the Ford truck struck the front of a Ford Mustang and continued traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes. It then struck a Honda Pilot in a
head-on collision. The truck then deflected off of a Honda Pilot and caused a second head-on collision with a Honda Accord.
Police arrested Cole and charged him with 2 counts of DUI with serious bodily in- jury, DUI with property dam- age, and leaving the scene of a accident with damage.
The names of the victims were not released. However, one of the victims was listed in critical condition and the other in serious condition, police said.
    Elderly Driver Charged In Death Of Pedestrian
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a 71-year-old man and charged him in connection with a fatal hit and run accident. The accident took place on November 10th.
Detectives with the Hills- borough County Sheriff’s Of- fice were led to a 1966 Chevrolet Pick Up truck through tips from Crime Stoppers. The truck was lo- cated nine days after the body of Ms. Linda Kay Fisher, 46, was discovered in a ditch on the Black Dairy

Ms. Fisher was walking
on the edge of the road when she was struck by a driver that did not stop. Police said the vehicle that struck her
was either red or orange in color.
Police said the truck had recently been painted black, but still had damage consis- tent with the collision that killed Ms. Fisher. Further investigation led to the arrest of Henry Earl Riner of 6325 North Black Dairy Road.
Riner was charged with leaving the scene of an acci- dent involving a death and tampering with evidence. He was booked into the Hills- borough County jail.
