If Today Is Your Birthday: Mars and Saturn join forces on your birthday to endow you not only with courage but also with the kind of staying power you will need to create something that lasts. Always keep striving and always aim to be better than you were before.
Sagittarius (Nov. 23 – Dec. 21): Ignore those who seem to enjoy preaching doom and disaster. According to the planets you, and many others, have never had it so good, so be positive and hope that your can-do attitude rubs off on those who seem to enjoy being negative.
Capricorn (Dec. 22 – Jan. 20): The more you have been frustrated in the past the more you will enjoy yourself now. By all means appreciate your moment in the spotlight but don't make too big a deal of it. Modesty is always attractive – and less likely to make you a target!
Aquarius (Jan. 21 – Feb. 19): This is potentially one of the best times of the year for you and if you want to make a name for yourself it won't be too difficult. Today's Mars-Saturn link will bring out your ambitious side. You're on your way to the top.
Pisces (Feb. 20 – Mar. 20): You are going through a phase where everything you believe in is being put to the test. It may be a painful process but it needs to happen so that you can reach a better understanding of who you really are and what you really need.
Aries (Mar. 21 – Apr. 20): Someone you have always thought of as a rival will surprise you today by saying something that makes you feel good about yourself. Is it some kind of trick? No it is not. They really do want to be nice to you. Be nice in re- turn.
Taurus (Apr. 21 – May 21): What happens today will con- vince you that what you have been working on in recent weeks was not what you should have been doing. But that's okay. Now you are free to pursue something that is much more in keeping with who you really are.
Gemini (May 22 – June 21): This is a good time for rela- tionships, especially those that come from the heart. Don't hold back today: Give everything you have got – and you will get it all back and more in the days, weeks and months to follow. Love al- ways multiplies.
Cancer (June 22 – July 23): If someone you thought you could trust has been telling tales about you behind your back then by all means cut your links with them. But make sure you know all the facts first – you don't want to break up a friendship for no good reason.
Leo (July 24 – Aug. 23): Forget about what others say you have to do and do only what you want to do. The sun in Sagittar- ius at this time of year means it's so easy to have fun, so get out and about, see and be seen and do something truly amazing.
Virgo (Aug. 24 – Sept. 23): Important people are watching you closely and there is little doubt that they will like what they see. They will like it even more if you give the impression that you are a team player and not just someone who is in it for them- selves.
Libra (Sept. 24 – Oct. 23): Your confidence will soar over the next few days and with both Mars and Venus moving through your sign a breakthrough of some kind cannot be far away. It may not get this good again for a while, so make the most of it.
Scorpio (Oct. 24 – Nov. 22): If what you get today seems more than you think you deserve there must be a cosmic reason for it. Could it be you did a favour for someone earlier in the year and, being the modest person you are, forgot about it? The uni- verse never forgets.
