Clippers' Glen Davis Fined $5,000 For Flop Against Rockets
GLEN DAVIS
PLAYA VISTA, Calif. -- Los Angeles Clippers forward Glen Davis was fined $5,000 by the NBA for violating the league's anti-flopping rules during Game 3 of the team's conference semifinals against the Houston Rockets.
Davis flailed his arms and fell down after getting bumped with 1:09 remaining in the first quarter of the Clippers' 124-99 victory over the Rockets on Friday night at Staples Center.
"I don't care; as long as we get away with it, I'm fine," coach Doc Rivers said Satur- day. "I want them to catch Corey [Brewer] every time he does it. There's been some [flopping in this series]. No doubt."
It was the third fine the league has imposed during this series after Brewer of the Rockets was fined $5,000 for flopping in Game 2 and Clip- pers forward, Matt Barnes was fined $50,000 for direct- ing inappropriate language to- ward James Harden's mother in Game 2.

CARMEL
This week’s Beauty Unlimited feature loves to be known as Carmel Candy, and as you can see, she looks as sweet as she sounds. Coming to the United States from Britain, Carmel immediately got the at- tention of photographers and advertisers looking for that new look. We thank Carmel for sharing that special look with us and for being this week’s Beauty Unlimited feature.
Hamstring Strain
Tigers ace David Price expects to make his next start after suffering a mild ham- string strain in Friday's game against the Royals.
The Tigers announced the diagnosis on Price's ham- string Saturday but said they would wait until next week before determining whether the left-hander would skip a start.
But Price, who under- went an MRI on Saturday, told reporters he feels "fine" and anticipates making his next scheduled start Thurs- day against the Minnesota Twins.
DAVID PRICE
Price suffered the injury on a fluke play in Friday night's victory over Kansas City when he stepped on a bat.
Price, who allowed a ca- reer-high 13 hits Friday, is 3- 1 with a 3.30 ERA in seven starts this season.
Teddy Bridgewater Takes Fan In Louisville To Prom
MINNEAPOLIS -- On Fri- day night, before returning to South Florida to visit his mom on Mother's Day weekend, Minnesota Vikings quarter- back Teddy Bridgewater returned to Louisville to give one of his fans a surprise she'll never forget.
According to WDRB-TV in Louisville, Christian Academy junior Ashley Davis had been a fan of Bridgewater since she met him at the Belk Bowl during his freshman year of college at Louisville. Davis' mother, Julie, bumped into Bridgewater while he was back in Louisville earlier this year and mentioned the idea of Bridgewater taking her to prom. He said he'd do it, flew to Louisville from Las Vegas and surprised Davis on prom night.
"This is like heaven, yeah," Davis said. "Well, I was

standing on the front porch, and Teddy came around the corner and I started crying and we just got pictures. I was on cloud nine."
The stories from Louisville on how the trip came about are well worth your time. If the events of the last year have taught us anything, it's to be cautious before assum- ing we know too much about what type of men the players we watch on Sunday really are. But in his surprise visit to Louisville, Bridgewater cer- tainly looked like quite the gentleman.
