AIKENS
MR. ROBERT WILLIAMS JORDAN
Homegoing celebration for Mr. Robert Williams Jor- dan of Tampa, who passed away Saturday, September 26, 2015, will be held Satur- day, October 3rd, at 2 p. m. at Northside M. B. Church, 5706 N. 40th Street, Rev. Ri- cardo Robinson pastor, offi- ciating. The interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Robert W. Jordan was born in Tampa, on November 11, 1948. He attended Hills- borough County Public Schools. He had a special love for horses and loved working on old cars.
Robert accepted the Lord Jesus at an early age, and was called home by God.
Robert was preceded in death by: his son, Master Lovett Shine; parents, Robert and Mildred Jordan; sisters, Yolanda Warmack and Geraldine Iverson; and brother, Randall Jordan.
Robert leaves to cherish precious memories with: daughters, Mildred Julius (Trevon), Marsenia Oliver and Selina Oliver; sons, Richard Mills (Gene), Al- fonso Jordan, Julius Oliver and Major Williams; grand- children, Regina, Rachel, Richard, II, Anthony, Res- hand, Romeo, Romaine, Jal- ima, Ty, Deion, Shekier, Lakesha, Mekayla, Tionnie, Keyara, Jaquan, Lance, Isiah, Alicia, Malik, Alissa, Demerayha, Janiyah, Caleb, Quinik, Hakeem, Jaheim, La’fonson, Kin and Clarissa; 6 great grandchildren; sis- ters, Mattie Shine and Karen Weathers of Brooklyn New York; brothers, Curtis Brown, Rumel Jordan, Tony Jordan and Bernard Jordan (Sharon); aunts, Lovie James, Mattie Phillips and Daisy Gaines; uncles, Solomon Jordan and Eddie Jordan (Inez); and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, October 2nd from 5-8 p. m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.

MRS. MATTIE LEE ‘TOT’ BARNES MCCARR
Homegoing celebration for Mrs. Mattie Lee “Tot” Barnes McCarr of Tampa, who passed away on Tues- day, September 22, 2015, will be held on Saturday, October 3rd,at11a.m.atNew Progress M.B. Church, 3307 E. Shadowlawn Ave., Rev- erend E. J. Williams, Sr., pas- tor, with Reverend John D. Anderson, officiating. The in- terment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Ceme- tery.
Mattie who was affection- ately called, “Tot” by her family and friends, was born September 19, 1939 to the late Elijah Barnes and Rosa Bell Barnes.
She was a 1958 graduate of Lincoln High School. After graduating high school, she attended and graduated from FAMU, where she met Arthur McCarr. From that union their one and only child, Sheldon was born.
In 1961, Mattie relocated to Tampa, where she contin- ued her education. She at- tended the University of Tampa, where she obtained her Master’s degree. She was a devoted mother to her only child, Sheldon and to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mattie was also devoted to her commu- nity and gave of her time freely.
After retiring, she devoted her time tutoring children at her church and in her com- munity. She would often do- nate school supplies to children in her community.
Mattie enjoyed spending time at Belmont Height Park watching little league base- ball games. She was an avid book reader and book collec- tor. She enjoyed making flo- ral arrangements which were beautifully displayed throughout her home. She was a great cook and enjoyed cooking and baking for her family. She was an active and faithful member of her
Church Glorious Church of God in Christ.
On the weekends Mattie enjoyed shopping, going to thrift stores and flea mar- kets. She loved and was loved by the Barnes, McCarr and Gambrell families.
Her favorite Bible verse was Proverbs 3:6 “In all your ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct your path”.
Mattie was preceded in death by: her parents, Elijah and Rosa Bell Barnes; brother, David Barnes; and sister; Martha Miller.
She leaves to cherish her memories with: her devoted companion, Arthur McCarr, Jr.; son, Sheldon McCarr (Jennifer); grandchildren, Kesha McCarr Jarmon (Shaun), Tiffany McCarr Watson (Kevin, Sr.), Keith McCarr (Talia), and Jahla McCarr; great grandchil- dren, Kaleb Robinson, Ka- maya Wilson, Kevin Watson, Jr., Elijah McCarr, Kason Watson, Trinity McCarr, Destiny and Mason Myers and 1 on the way; sisters, Fannie Marshall (William), Lee Etta Proctor (Ernest) of Tallahassee, FL, and Idella Wade of West Palm Beach, FL; nieces, Jennifer Tims, Sharon Edmonds, Jackie Barnes, Sheila Williams, Stephanie Holmes and Debra Marshall; nephews, Elvin, Cedric, Ernest, Anthony and Lapadre Proctor, William Marshall, Jr. and David Barnes, Jr.; special cousins, Mary Barnes Ball, Carey “Sonny” Barnes, Louis and Jacquelyn Barnes; a host of other cousins; Mattie’s ex- tended family include, Rutha Mae Harris, who was like a mother; godmother, Emma House; godson, Henry Boone; goddaughter, Debra Davis; special friends, Lillian Ponder, Betty White, Ernes- tine Kyle, Monique Kearney, Sarah Campbell, Eva, Pat, Patrick, Laura Ann Thomp- son, Elder Charles Kennedy, Glorious COGIC family, Johnson family, Emma Ross, Ruby Mitchell, Debra Davis, Everland Brookins, Farris family, Fannie McNeal, Ethel Mae Gambrell, and all the ed- ucators at Cahoon Elemen- tary.
The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, October 2nd from 5-8 p. m. The family will receive friends from 6-7 p. m.

REV. MICHAEL A. ROBINSON
A homegoing celebration for Rev. Michael A. Robinson of Tampa, who passed away on September 26, 2015, will be held on Saturday, October 3rd, at 11 a. m. at First Baptist Church of Progress Village, 8722 Progress Blvd., Rev. Dr. Samuel Maxwell, Senior Teacher, pastor, with Rev. Dr. Fletcher Lawson, Jr., Pastor of St. Mary’s M. B. Church, Parrish, FL, officiat- ing. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Rev. Michael Anthony Robinson was born Septem- ber 3, 1963, in Tampa. Michael Robinson was the middle child of the late Rev- erend Roosevelt Robinson, Jr. and Sis. Pearlie Mae Robinson.
The Robinson family trav- eled from New York City, New York, finding their roots in Tamp.
Michael Robinson was ed- ucated in the Tampa Bay Public Schools and gradu- ated from King High School in 1982. After graduating in 1982, Rev. Michael A. Robin- son entered into the United States Army. He transition to the Army Reserves in 1989 and was currently serving and fulfilling additional du- ties as the military chaplain assistant. Rev. Michael A. Robinson began his life’s journey from ordinary cir- cumstances. His close-knit family provided support and a caring environment during his childhood.
He found his calling in the military, and his entire adult life has been in the service of his country. As a soldier, he was committed to protecting the nation and advancing democratic values. SFC Michael Robinson deployed to Kuwait/Iraq in 2011–2012 serving in the Enduring Free- dom War. While he gravi- tated towards support roles early in his career, his orga- nizational talent and prag- matic outlook were recognized by those who placed him in leadership roles. In 2012, The United States Army awarded SFC Michael Robinson the “Hon- orable Titus Award” for his superior service. Rev. Michael A. Robinson military career and experiences pro- vided some structure and di- rection in his life. It was in June of 1989, when Rev. Michael A. Robinson was called to the ministry and his direction in life changed for the very best. Rev. Michael A. Robinson was licensed by his father the late Rev. Roosevelt Robinson Jr., Pastor of First Baptist Church of Progress Village. Rev. Michael A.
Robinson remained a mem- ber at First Baptist of Progress Village until the un- timely death of his father in 1993.
Shortly thereafter, Rev. Michael A. Robinson relo- cated his membership to Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, under the steward- ship of Rev. C. P. Epps. While studying under Rev. C.P. Epps, furthering his educa- tion became a priority. Rev. Michael A. Robinson decided to enroll in theology school and successfully graduated from Theology Baptist Fel- lowship College of Tampa in 2000, with a BA in Theology. In 2003, Rev. C.P. Epps or- dained Rev. Michael A. Robinson and he continued to fulfill his calling; inspir- ing, teaching and preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Michael was very athletic and was always concerned with his health, maintaining a slim and fit physic. He loved outdoors and had a passion for riding motorcy- cles. He also enjoyed reading and found comfort in detail- ing cars.
He received his wings on September 26, 2015.
He leaves to cherish his memories with his children, he was the proud father of 4 daughters and 5 grandchil- dren: daughter, Sonia M. Robinson, and sons, D’juan Robinson, Malik Brown and Michael Brown, daughter, Ashley Robinson Kindred and husband, Rey Kindred and children, Maia and Daivon Kindred and daugh- ters, Nashawn J. Norman and Angelena J. Jackson; a devoted mother, Pearlie Mae Robinson; brother, Bishop Sylvester Robinson and Lady, Tammy Dooley-Robin- son; sisters, Irene Robinson- Goggins and husband, Alton, Edna Pear Eaton and hus- band, Coleman and Della Sheron Robinson; aunts, Sal- lie Mae Johnson and hus- band, Andrew, Jerri Robinson, Betty Jean Lewis and husband, Willie, Louise Anderson and Mattie Bell Lewis and husband, Odell; uncles, KC Gray and wife, Annie B., Robert Earl, and Tony Gray and wife, Doris; nieces, KeOndria Eaton and Jasmene Robinson; nephews, Robert Harris, Sylvester Robinson, Dominic and Donte Bostic, Phillip Austin, Jr., Alton, Jr., Ashley and Dominique Goggins and Cameron Jones; great nieces, Chynna and Diondria Gog- gins; great nephews, DaShawn, Robert, Jr., and Isaiah Harris, Kaiden Bostic, Alton, III, Ashley, Jr., Ashton and Rewso’ Goggins; cousins, Michael was loved and cher- ished by a host of cousins that reside throughout the U. S.; mentor, Dr. C. P. Epps; goddaughter, Kasi Bellamy; godbrother, Elray Hudson; and many loving and endear- ing co-workers and friends. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Fri- day, October 2nd, from 5-8 p. m. The family will receive friends from 5-6 p. m.
