Popular Ybor City Restaurant To Close
Several years ago, the Spaghetti Warehouse Restau- rant opened in Ybor City. After more than 30 years of serving customers in Historic Ybor Square, the restaurant is set to close on Wednesday.
The restaurant opened in the red brick building in Ybor City in 1983. During its tenure, the restaurant specialized in Italian cuisine.
Housed in the one-time largest cigar factory in the world, it was the only Spaghetti Warehouse location in Florida. Other Spaghetti Warehouse Restaurants are located in New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Texas.
The building in which the restaurant was located was purchased by the Church of Scientology in 2010.
Trustees Approve Pay Raise For USF President
Last week, the University of South Florida Board of Trustees unanimously approved a raise for Dr. Judy Genshaft. Dr. Gen- shaft, who became president in 2000, is the longest serving pres- ident in the university’s history.
The Trustees voted to increase her base salary by 5 percent to $493,500. She could also receive a performance stipend of up to $275,000, which would elevate her salary to $768,500.
Her new one-year contract begins July 1, 2016 and ends June 30, 2017.
His Affection
Lord, I pray for open physical affection between my husband and me. Enable each of us to lay aside self-con- sciousness or apathy and be effusive in our display of love. Help us to demonstrate how much we care for and value each other. Help us to not be cold, undemonstra- tive, uninterested, or remote. Enable us to be warm, ten- der, compassionate, loving, and adoring. Break through any hardheadedness on our part that refuses to change and grow. If one of us is less affectionate to the other’s detriment bring us into balance. Change our habits of in- difference so that we can become the husband and wife You called us to be.
So husbands ought to love their own wives as their own bodies; he who loves his wife, loves himself. For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cher- ishes it, just as the Lord does the church. EPHESIANS 5:28-29
