Hillsborough County Public Schools Community Conversation Meetings
Hillsborough County Public Schools has scheduled several community meetings to share information with stakeholders about the upcoming one mil referendum.
Hillsborough County voters will have the opportunity to strengthen our schools and community by deciding on a one mil referendum in the primary election ballot on August 23rd. The one mil referendum will:
• Increase salaries to retain and recruit teachers and staff
• Expand art, music, and physical education in elementary schools
• Expand workforce development and workforce education programs in middle and high schools

Healthcare Certification Program In 8-Weeks
With United Way Suncoast And Hillsborough Community College Partnership
This training program is conducted in the classroom, labs and online and includes 40 hours in the clinical setting. Stu- dents are responsible for their initial Background ($50) and Drug Screening ($38) but will be reimbursed upon completion of the full course. The scholarship includes all student material (scrubs, textbook, BP cuff, etc.) access to career navigation, as- sistance with job placement, soft skills training, resumes and interviewing, 40 hours working in a clinical setting and individ- ual support services.

Course Fee: United Way Suncoast is providing FULL schol- arships for qualified residents of Hillsborough, Pinellas, Sara- sota, Manatee or DeSoto counties, 18 yrs.+, HS diploma or GED.
