PASTOR MOSES BROWN, Ph.D.
BY MONIQUE STAMPS Sentinel Staff Writer
Pastor Moses Brown, founder of Feed Our Children Ministries is always looking to help someone.
When the tragedy of the Buffalo, NY, grocery store shooting occurred, Pastor Brown was sorrowful. Soon thereafter, he traveled to Buf- falo, NY, at the invitation of Buffalo ministers.
The Buffalo ministers were providing grief counseling to the families and wanted Pas-

tor Brown to join them at an event where victims, relatives, and the community could start to heal.
It was a tough assignment. Some of the bystanders and relatives of the murdered peo- ple had developed PTSD. The air was heavy with grief and disbelief over the threat of racism and white supremacy.
When he arrived at the
event, the city of Buffalo held a moment of silence com- memorating the moment the city lost some of its most beloved citizens.
The organizers of the event then asked if Pastor Brown would lead them in prayer and provide a few words of com- fort. He was not prepared to do so, he thought that he would just be providing coun-
seling and support. However, he knew that the Lord was in charge.
Pastor Brown stated, “There was a sense that it was a providential assignment de- signed by God Himself. This request came so suddenly that I have no explanation - except that it was from God.”
“It was an honor to be
trusted to bring hope to a peo- ple who weren't sure what the future held for them.”
“The intention had been for me to provide my services in a surreptitious manner, but God had much bigger plans than I could ever imagine.”
