Detectives Investigating Armed Home Invasion
Authorities Need Help In
Detectives with the Hills- borough County Sheriff’s Of- fice are investigating an armed home invasion.
Detectives said on June 23rd at 12:28 a.m., three Black males armed with handguns kicked open the front door of a residence at 6001 Legends Estates Drive. The suspects reportedly confronted the victim in her bedroom, and demanded her jewelry box and cell phone.

The suspect is described
as a dark skinned Hispanic male, 6 feet tall, 150 to 160 pounds, light colored eyes, several tattoos and a tattoo of eyes on his neck.
Crime Stoppers is offer- ing of up to $3,000 for infor- mation that leads to the identification and arrest of the suspect.
Tampa Police report that on June 17th, a Black male known as “Dontae” and a robbery victim met at the Pony Tail Gentlemen’s Club, then later went to the Clarion Hotel, 2701 Fowler Avenue.
The following morning, June 18th at 11:28 a. m., “Dontae” reportedly left briefly then returned to the hotel room with an unknown Black male juvenile, 13 to 14- years-old.
“Dontae” was reportedly armed with a handgun and robbed the victim of cash and a debit card. The suspect and ju- venile fled on foot.

Polk County Teenager Convicted Of Killing Fellow Gang Member
This is a surveillance photo of three men suspected of a home invasion.
Tampa Police report that on June 18th at 11:28 a. m., an unknown suspect walked into the Walgreen’s Store, 1860 East Fowler Avenue, selected cans of beer, and walked to the counter.
The suspect allegedly told the clerk he was not going to pay for the items and pro- ceeded to demand the money from the cash register.
The clerk reportedly told the suspect that could not be done and the suspect tried to take a pack of cigarettes out of the clerk’s hand, but was unsuccessful.
The suspect them tried to hit the clerk with a can of beer during the incident, po- lice said. The clerk was able to push the silent alarm but- ton and the suspect fled on
the suspects also reportedly took a 32-inch television that
had been mounted on the wall. They all fled in a 4-door silver vehicle, possibly a Mazda 3, south on Dale Mabry from West Idlewild.
The suspects are de- scribed as all having short black hair, and with having tattoos on both arms.

Driver Arrested After Crash
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office reports that on June 22nd, detectives were able to locate two bank robbery sus- pects in Pinellas County.
Wilbert McKnight, 40, was arrested by Largo Police, and Angela Martin, 42, was arrested in Clearwater. Both have been charged with armed robbery with a firearm.
On June 20th at 12:40 p. m., detectives said a Black male entered the Florida Central Credit Union, 334 Oakfield Drive, in Brandon.
After entering, the bank manager approached the man and asked him to remove his motorcycle helmet. The sus- pect reportedly pointed a gun at the manager and demanded everybody get down. He then jumped over the teller counter and demanded they put money into a black duffel bag. He then fled on foot and got into an awaiting vehicle that was parked at a nearby hospital.
McKnight was identified from surveillance footage as well as the vehicle he and Mar- tin drove away from the rob- bery.

On Monday at 3 a. m., Pinellas Park Police reported that a red 1999 Ford SUV was traveling south on U. S. High- way 19 being driven by Joshua Campbell, 30. Po- lice said Campbell was driv- ing erratically from lane-to-lane and at some point, the vehicle left the road- way and struck the west curb sending the vehicle in a south- west direction.
The vehicle also reportedly rolled over and crashed into a pedestrian signal sign. It fi- nally came to rest in the bushes in front of the Wal- green’s Store at U. S. Highway 19 and 70th Avenue.
Police said Campbell fled on foot and his passenger, George Habbison, 43, was ejected from the vehicle and suffered serious non-life threatening injuries. He was transported to a local hospital.

K-9 dogs trying to locate Campbell, a resident called police to report a suspicious man riding a bicycle around the neighborhood. Officers re- sponded and found the man who matched Campbell’s description. He had suffered injuries to his forehead and nose.
Campbell was positively identified by a witness then transported to a local hospital to be treated for his minor in- juries, police said.
After his release from the hospital, Campbell was ar- rested and charged with leav- ing the scene of a crash with serious bodily injury and driv- ing with a suspended license.
Police said alcohol may have been a contributing fac- tor in the crash, and the vehi- cle involved in the crash belonged to a friend of Camp- bell who lives in Pasco County.

On Tuesday, a Polk County jury found 17-year- old Tyler Knight guilty of first-degree murder for fa- tally shooting 16-year-old Demarco Powell.
He is now facing a life

sentence, but his age keeps him from facing a mandatory life sentence or the death penalty.
Authorities said Knight killed Powell, a fellow gang member in February 2014.
