Police Seek Help To Identify Woman Who Jumped Off I-4
Driver Charged With DUI In Double Fatality
  A 38-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the deaths of two pedestrians. The acci- dent took place Saturday evening.
According to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, the accident took place on Gulf Blvd., at 11799 Gulf Blvd., in Treasure Island. The victims, 74-year-old Nicholas Michael Desanta and Ms. Beverly J. Gran, 81, were walking when they attempted to cross Gulf Blvd., around 6:45 p.m.
Both were struck by a 2014 Ford Explorer. After striking the elderly couple, the driver fled the scene. The victims were transported to a local hospital in critical con- dition. Both died as a result of their injuries.
The investigation led po- lice to the location of Aleem Reezan Temon Hamid, of Land O’ Lakes, who was still

behind the wheel of the vehi- cle, at 1 Park Place, in Treas- ure Island.
Investigators said Hamid showed signs of impairment, but refused to cooperate with police. He was taken into cus- tody and charged with 2 counts of DUI manslaughter, 2 counts of leaving the scene of an accident involving death, and refusal to submit to lawful tests of breath, urine, and blood.
Investigators are asking help from the community to identify a suicide victim. The death took place Sunday af- ternoon.
According to a spokesman for the Florida Highway Patrol, at 1:30 p.m., troopers responded to a suicide on westbound In- terstate 4 at U. S. Highway
I-4 and U. S. Highway 92
92 (Hillsborough Avenue). Investigators said an African American woman between the age of 16 and 25 years of age was observed sitting on the U. S. 92 Overpass with her feet dangling over the side.
The young woman is said to have jumped from the Overpass and suffered fatal
injuries. It was also deter- mined that she had been struck by a tractor trailer after landing on Interstate 4.
She is 5 1/2 feet tall and weighs between 140 and 150 pounds.

    Jeep Crashes Into House After Colliding With Vehicle
 The St. Petersburg Police Department investigated an accident last Friday at 3900 2nd Avenue, North. The vehi- cle had been involved in an accident and then was forced into the porch of the home at that location.
The accident took place
around 6:30 p.m., when the jeep driven by an unidentified woman was hit by a pickup truck. Police did not release the identities of either driver.
Both were taken to local hospitals for medical check- ups. No one in the home was injured.
 Motorcyclist Killed In Traffic Accident
A 23-year-old Plant City man died Saturday after being involved in a traffic ac- cident.
The accident took place at Florida Avenue and 131st Av- enue.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Samuel A. Lougheed was riding his 2016 Yamaha motorcycle northbound on Florida Av- enue in the outside lane. Ms.
Darlene D. Hamilton, 62, of Tampa, was driving a 1999 Ford Pickup truck. She made a left turn at 131st Avenue, into the path of the motorcy- cle, police said.
Lougheed was ejected from his motorcycle and died at the scene. Ms. Hamilton was not injured.
The investigation is con- tinuing and charges are pend- ing.
