Funeral service for Mrs. Margie Ree Mayes, 61, of Tampa, who passed away on July 16, 2015, will be held on Friday, July 24, 2015, at 1 p. m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, with Pastor Amos Bailey, officiat- ing. Entombment will fol- low in Hillsboro Memorial Gardens, 2323 Brandon Blvd., Brandon, FL.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Bennie Z. Ford and Algie L. Ford; and brothers, Willie E. Ford, Napoleon Ford, Jimmie D. Ford and Will Ford.
She is survived by: her husband of over 38 years, Marvin D. Mayes; siblings, Mahalia Reese, (Pritchett), Algie L. Ford, Jr., Ruth Bai- ley, (Ford), Alice Brown, (Ford) Gerth D. Siler, (Ford), Marrion J. Johnson, (Ford), Effie P. Brown, (Ford), Randolph “Pete” Ford and Daniel A. Ford; and other relatives and friends. She will be missed by many friends and love ones.
Margie Ree Mayes was born January 23, 1954, to Bennie Z. Ford, (Pritchett) and Algie L. Ford, Sr. in Fort Walton Beach, FL.
Margie enjoyed the beauty of life as a young girl growing up in Fort Walton Beach.
She later moved to Spring- field, MA, and graduated from Trade High School. She also traveled to Italy, Eng- land, Germany, and South Dakota. She lived and worked in Tampa for many years as a cook with the Hillsborough County School System. Margie loved to Cook and entertain family, friends.
Friends are asked to as- semble at the funeral home at approximately 12:45 p. m. for the service on Friday.
