FAMILY NOTICE
MR. EDWARD LEVI SINGLETON
Mr. Edward Levi Singleton, 84, transitioned to his heavenly home on December 5, 2020. A Homegoing Celebration will be conducted Saturday, December 12, 2020, 10 a. m., at 2nd Bethel Baptist Church, 598 County Road 462, Wildwood, Florida, with Rev. Kirk Bogen, of St. Luke AME Church, Tampa, FL, officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, Wildwood, Florida.
Edward Levi Singleton was born on January 1, 1936, in Royal, Florida, to the late Joseph Single- ton and Delia Hubert-Singleton. Edward was a graduate of J. R. E. Lee High School in Wildwood, Florida, Class of 1954. In 1990, he became an honorary alumnus of the University of South Florida, Tampa, FL.
Family and Christ would be Edward’s foundation and sustain- ing force throughout his life. He received Christ as his Personal Savior at Ebenezer AME Church in Royal, FL. After marrying his high school sweetheart in 1961, he and Deloris, relocated to Tampa, and connected with St. Luke AME
   Church. He faithfully served in various administrative and lead- ership capacities until his health declined.
Edward worked diligently throughout his life providing for his family. He retired from the City of Tampa Water Works De- partment after 30 plus years in a supervisory role.
Edward was preceded in death by: his parents, Joseph and Delia Singleton; his wife of 56 years, De- loris Harley Singleton; siblings, Ernestine Freeman, Idella Han- ner, Florida Mae Pinder, Marshall Singleton; brothers-in-law, Arnell Pinder, Frank Freeman, James Bunch, Clarence Bunch, James Harley, Charles Harley, John Brooks, Alexander Mathews, and Socrates Miles, Sr.; sisters-in-law, Essie Lee Harley, Beatrice Math- ews, Zara Harley; children, Ver- non Singleton, Charles Singleton, Sr., and Marjorie Singleton-Camp- bell.
He leaves to cherish precious memories of him with: children, Wanda (Gregory) Benson, At- lanta, GA, Phyllis (Cedric) Gilliam, Tampa, FL, Deitra Singleton, Tampa, FL, and Clifford Singleton, Tampa, FL; grandchildren, Shar- lene Singleton, Ardelia Singleton, Michelle Singleton, Remona Sin- gleton, Charles Singleton, Jr., Gre- gory Benson, Jr., Whitney Benson, Marquis Phillips, and Wayne Joshua Price; 9 great- grandchildren; sisters, Ladine Bunch, Riviera Beach, FL and Fairy Bunch, West Palm Beach, FL; brothers-in-law, Jasper (Clydie) Harley, Tampa, FL, Willie (Betty) Harley, Philidelpia, PA, Booker (Rozina) Brooks, Crystal River, FL, Nelson Brooks, Jr., Wildwood, FL; sisters-in-law, Josephine Miles, Columbus, GA, and Gloria Brooks, Royal, FL; aunt, Rosa Mae Hubert, Royal, FL; and a host of other family mem- bers and friends.

Investigating
Death
    The Tampa Police were ac- tively investigating a death on Wednesday morning. The in- cident took place at Rowlett Park Drive and 22nd Street.
Police said they were early in the investigation and it ap- peared to be an apparent sui- cide. The investigation is continuing.
