Hundreds Of Mourners Pay Respects To Family Who Lost Four In House Fire
In the lovely home of Andre and Dr. Brenda Walker, Corynn Walker is all smiles as she celebrates her 9th birthday.
On September 1st, Ms. Sh- eryl James and three of her grandchildren, Reshard Ash- ley, 8; Romello Jackson, 8, and Emjay Jackson, 3, all died in a house fire on East Paris Street.
When firefighters entered the home and found Ms. James and the children, they said it appeared she was doing all she could to protect them as she was found with two of the children behind a mattress. The third child was found in the bathroom by a window. Burglar bars on all the win- dows and on the front door prevented them from escaping.
In a service held at the Cen- ter for Manifestation, family members, friends neighbors, and just people who found out about the tragedy through the media attended the service.
Also, staff from Sheehy El- ementary School, where Re- shard and Romello were students attended the funeral. Some of their classmates also made cards that featured mes- sages written in crayon.
LaQuana James, mother of Romello and Emjay, said everyone is trying to focus on getting things back to normal, whatever normal is.

When I Sense That All Is Well
Lord, I thank You for the time when things are going well. During those times, help me to not take Your goodness for granted. I know it is good to give thanks to You no matter what is happening (Psalm 92:1) for this is Your will (1 Thessalonians 5:18). In all things – good and bad – You are deserving of praise. Remind me of all the things You have taught me so that I will continue to do them diligently.
You must continue in the things you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them. 1 TIMOTHY 3:14
