‘I Had A Dream’
had a dream that I was visiting the African Amer- ican Museum and the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, “Jr. Memorial in Washington, D. C. Suddenly, I saw an elderly man weeping at the foot of Dr. King’s statue, a man who looked remarkably like Dr. King would have looked at that age. When I asked him why he was cry-
ing, he gazed at me with a look that broke my heart. Then he said, “I grieve for all the young Black men who have died at the hands of other young Black men by guns, knives, and in stolen vehicles since I’ve been gone. I grieve for all of the Blacks in America who voted for a man in the White house who didn’t want to rent a
home to them.
“And for all of the Black Americans in America who
didn’t vote in the 2016 Presidential election, I grieve for them, too.
“I grieve for all of the Black children who shy away from taking classes in the sciences and mathematics fields who have no idea that their ancestors were the founders of chemistry, physics, engineering, and med- ical sciences.
“How heavy my heart is that the Ku Klux Klan and other hate groups champion the presence of Xenopho- bia (an intense fear or hatred of any group from a dif- ferent country, background, etc.) that is now in the White House.
“Yet, I still have a dream that Black Americans will keep the dream alive by fighting and continuing to fight against all of these conditions until they no longer exist.
“Yes, I still have a dream that we are closer to the dream than we were, 50 years ago.
“I still have a dream,” said the elderly man who re- sembled MLK.
“Then as mysteriously as I began, I woke out of my dream. But strangely enough, “the dream was so real, I had tears in my eyes, and could still feel the touch of Dr. King’s hand.”
We’ve Never Been Alone
ou know that gut feel-
ing you get when it ap- pears as though things are happening for a reason? That’s what I’ve been experi- encing lately whenever I watch the evening news.
With their recent willing- ness to constantly air footage of numerous unidentified flying objects (UFO’s) on a regular basis, it seems like a decision was made some- where to finally let the igno- rant masses in on a poorly kept secret... Little green (I imagine the term “grey” would be more appropriate) men actually do exist.
At this point I wouldn’t blame some of you for get- ting your chuckle on because for years topics like this have been considered rooted in complete nonsense. That is mainly because we all grew up being taught the same thing.
God created the entire universe and placed life on one single planet. Earth. All of the other stars and planets we see in the night sky were placed there by the Creator to simply decorate empty space... End of Story.
In years past the idea of intelligent life existing out- side of our earthly realm was only deemed possible through the imaginations of people like Jules Verne, Gene Rodenberry, George Lucas and Steven Spielberg. Now, with NASA releasing news of its discov- ery of Earth-like planets in nearby galaxies and the CIA’s recent disclosure that the agency has been investigat-
ing UFO phenomena for decades, it seems that our long held beliefs are being re- calibrated to accept the pos- sibility that we could actually be receiving visitations from extraterrestrial life forms.
If this is indeed the case, the question I guess we should all be asking is why spill the beans now? If any of this is true and we’ve been in the dark for this long, why wake the world up at this point?
The only answer to these questions, that makes any sense, is the possibility that they’re aware of something coming that they won’t be able to hide. And getting us prepared (through movies, scientific discoveries, state- ments from the Vatican, etc.) for the inevitable “commu- nion” is the best way to keep panic at a minimum.
Of course, to those who’ve studied African cul- ture and history, what’s being slowly revealed over here actually isn’t anything new. To people all over the continent, encounters with heavenly beings is not only a common occurrence, it’s a well known part of their (our) origin story.
According to the Dogons in Mali we were brought to Earth, inside of a hollowed out moon, after humans en- gaged in a war with sea- dwelling fish people on a planet inside of the Sirius star system. Some believe that the mythology of mer- maids and the depiction of the Yoruba Orisha, Yemaya, as half woman-
half fish stems directly from this ancient African legend.
To many, who’ve heard of the Dogon mythos, it comes off as nothing more than an old wives tale. But when you take into consideration the account of the Apollo 11 as- tronauts who once reported that the moon rang like a bell for hours when they landed and that scientists today still can’t explain how the Dogon people, whose knowledge goes back thousands of years, were aware of the ex- istence of celestial bodies that can only be seen with high-powered telescopes, it’s hard not to surmise that there’s more to the twinkling lights above us than what meets the eye.
Add to this equation the belief of South African Zulus who say they were taught by an alien race, known as the Sikasa, that the people of Earth are a “mixture of races from different worlds” and a picture begins to form show- ing that what is being al- lowed to be known today is only a very small part of the information that’s been passed down from our ances- tors for eons.
While I think it’s great that the United States is bringing society up to speed on the notion that we’re not alone in the universe, if we would have been paying closer attention to the signs that were left to us sooner, the fact that we have com- pany wouldn’t be so surpris- ing.
