George Edgecomb Bar Association Holds 36th Annual Scholarship Banquet
The George Edgecomb Bar Association (GEBA) held it 36th Annual Scholarship Ban- quet on Monday, April 22, 2019. The event was held at
the Hilton Tampa Downtown, with a reception at 5:30 p. m., followed by dinner at 6:30 p. m.
The keynote speaker for
the evening was Nikki Gio- vanni, American poet, writer, commentator, activist and ed- ucator. Each year the banquet is attended by 400 attorneys,
judges, dignitaries, city and county officials, business pro- fessionals and interested sup- porters.
Proceeds from this signa- ture event fund the organiza- tion’s scholarship program. (Photos by Ricky Roberts)

The GEBA scholarship recipients recognized at the banquet with GEBA President, Valeria Obi, Esquire, were: Daralndeson Briseneau, Atty. Obi, Na’kyia Butler and Samuelle Cange.
