   Tampa Chapter Of The Links, Inc. Installs New Officers

On Saturday, April 6, 2019, the Tampa Chapter of The Links, Inc., installed new offi- cers to lead the organization through 2021.
The new (and re-elected) officers are: Marsha Lewis Brown, President; Sonjia Little, Membership Vice-President; the Hon- orable Julie Sneed, Programming Vice-Pres- ident; Bianca Taylor-Heard, Recording Secretary; Kimberly Price, Assistant Recording Secretary; Monique Stamps, Corresponding Secretary; Stephanie How- ell, Treasurer; Marketa Wills, Assistant Treasurer; Rhonda Mims, Financial Secre- tary; Dr. Sharon Andrews-Gray, Assistant Financial Secretary.
The Links, Inc. is an international, not-for- profit corporation established in 1946. The membership consists of over 15,000 profes- sional women of color in 288 chapters located in 42 states, the District of Columbia, the Com- monwealth of the Bahamas and the United Kingdom. It is one of the nation’s oldest and largest volunteer service organizations of ex- traordinary women who are committed to en- riching, sustaining and ensuring the culture and economic survival of African Americans and other persons of African ancestry.
The organization’s core values are friend- ship, integrity, honesty, service, commitment, family relationships, courage, respect for self and others, legacy, confidentiality, responsi- bility, and accountability.

The new President, Mar- sha Lewis Brown, is the former CEO of Northside Mental Health and before re-
tiring, was a highly sought consultant for mental health issues. Ms. Brown is also the former National Strategic Planning Chair and South At- lantic Director for Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Ms. Brown plans to continue to support sisterly relations and partner with other like- minded organizations in the community to raise awareness of issues that affect the Black community. Ms. Brown is proud to be part of an organi- zation that is engaged locally, nationally, and internation- ally.
