Woman Charged
Gunshot Victim Found Outside Apartment Critical

Detectives are currently investigating a shooting that left a man in critical condi- tion. The shooting took place Tuesday.
According to the Hillsbor- ough County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to an apartment complex at 8121 Cranmoore Place in ref- erence to a shooting. When the deputies arrived shortly after 6 p.m., they found the victim. He was described as an adult male, who was out- side an apartment building.

Child Abuse
This is the apartment complex where shooting took place.
A 24-year-old woman was arrested Tuesday and charged with aggravated child abuse. The child was in- jured last month.
According to the Hills- borough County Sheriff’s Of- fice, on April 10th, a 2-month-old infant was taken to a hospital after being found unresponsive by Ms. Brienna Craig. Police did not reveal her relation- ship to the infant.
During the course of the investigation, detectives de- termined that the child was suffering from numerous in- juries consistent with Shaken Baby Syndrome.
It was also determined that the infant would likely suffer with lifelong affects as a result of his injuries.

Police obtained an arrest warrant for Ms. Craig, who was located in Polk County on April 30th. She was taken into custody and charged with aggravated child abuse. No additional information about the case has been re- leased by police.
Men Wanted In $8,000 Theft Of Cigarettes
SUSPECT #1
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is currently searching for four men. They are wanted in connection with the theft of cigarettes worth $8,000.
The theft took place at Thornton’s, 4103 Gunn High- way, last Friday, shortly be- fore 5 a.m.
According to police, three

men entered the store. One of the men distracted the clerk while the other two entered a back storage room. The men took nearly 90 cartons of cig- arettes worth $8,242. A fourth man waited outside the store in a silver, four-door vehicle.

commit the same type of theft at the Thornton’s at 425 W. Brandon Blvd. However, they were unsuccessful.
