Crime
   Mother, Daughter Charged In Fatal Accident

 A mother and daughter were arrested and charged in connection with a fatal acci- dent.
The accident took place in St. Petersburg on August
6th.
The accident claimed the
lives of two teenagers. Shaariyah Brown, and 18- year-old Brice Lewis, died. The 17-year-old driver,
Nikia Killens suffered only minor injuries.
Killens was arrested on Nov. 17, and charged as an adult with two counts of driv- ing without a license causing death. Her mother, Eloda Hogan, was also charged with allowing an unlicensed driver to operate her vehicle causing death.
The accident occurred
after Killens crashed into a utility pole. The accident took place in the 4200 block of 11th Avenue, South, in St. Petersburg.
According to police, Kil- lens was driving her mother’s black 2013 Buick Rendezvous.
The vehicle was traveling eastbound on 11th Avenue South.
