WILSON
MR. JOSEPH M. MORRIS, JR.
Mr. Joseph M. Morris, Jr. of Tampa, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2016.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 16 at1p.m.atNewHopeM.B. Church, 3005 E. Ellicott Street, with Reverend Ernest Boone, officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Me- morial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Morris was a native of Milpitas, California, born to Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Morris, Sr. and was a resident of Tampa for the past 22 years.
Mr. Joseph Morris, Jr. was a graduate of Milpitas High School in 1979 in Milpi- tas, CA. He was also a gradu- ate of Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, FL. Joe received a Bachelor of Science in Physical Educa- tion and was one of Florida A&M University’s greatest fans who “bled orange and green.” Joe was a member of Alpha Phi Omega Fraternity, and an officer and member of the St. Johns Lodge #189, F & AM, Prince Hall Affili- ated.
Joe was a well-known and admired individual that left people with an everlasting imprint; he “never met a stranger.”
Joe was an educator in the School District of Hillsbo- rough County. As a pillar in the instructional arena, Joe taught Physical Education for 28 years, and served as a mentor to many young men and women in the Escambia, Hernando and Hillsborough County School Systems.
Joseph Morris, Jr. was a loving family man and he leaves behind: a devoted wife of 26 years, Victoria Lewis- Morris; 3 loving children, Joseph, III, Demetrius and Morgan, all of Tampa; God- fearing parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph, and Hattie Morris Sr. of Pensacola FL; sister, Jamillah Mahdi Muhammed of Pensacola, FL; aunts, Margaret (Ray- mond) Howard of Pueblo, CO, and Glenda Stephens of Denver, CO; uncle, Chester (Francine) Hurd of Aurora, CO; nephew, Charles Mackey of Pensacola, FL; 7 sisters-in- law and 3 brothers-in-laws; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The remains will repose after 5 p. m., Friday, April 15 at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Av- enue, and the family will re- ceive friends from 6-7 p. m. at the Chapel.

MR. KEVIN RANDALL CHAVOUS ‘PEANUT’
Funeral service for Mr. Kevin Randall Chavous, a.k.a., ‘Peanut,, who passed on Sat- urday, April 9, 2016 will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 2 p. m. at Wilson Fu- neral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, with Rev. W. D. Sims, officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Me- morial Park Cemetery.
Kevin was preceded in death by: his grandmother, Doris Cummings Roberts; his great uncle, Bishop Cum- mings; great aunt, Connie O’Murphy; uncle, David Roberts; and aunt, Rosalyn Roberts.
He leaves to cherish memo- ries of him with: his ten chil- dren, Bryant Chavous, Kevin Chavous, Jr., Keandra Chavous, Ke’Shad Chavous, Ki Ara Chavous, Tavon Chavous, Micah Chavous, Mikayla Chavous, Anaiya Chavous and D’Antay Carson; six grand- children, Christopher Corne- lio, Bry’Anna Chavous, Ke’Shad Chavous, Jr., Trinity Drayton, Paris Chavous and Sunjai Harrison; mother, Pa- tricia Roberts; former spouse, Starr Chavous; two sisters, Cassandra Pettigrew and Deana Roberts; brother, Jer- maine Wilson (Tiffany); three nephews, Dominic Divens, Antonio Pettigrew, Jr. and Matthew Wilson; two nieces, Madison Walker and Mi’yah Williams; four aunts, Evelyn King (Leroy), Rudean Craw- ley, Bobbie Clark and Sheila Roberts; two uncles, Calvin Roberts and Larry Wright (Beverly); cousins, Portia Lowe, G. Douglas Crawley, Keith King, Geoffrey Crawley, Kimberly Randle, Krysta Clark Johnson, Derrick Roberts, Sedalia Roberts Knight, Cory Roberts, Beth Loud, Vernetta Womack and Frank Duhart; and host of many other sorrowful friends and relatives.
Kevin was born and raised in Tampa. He was educated in the Hillsborough County School System and gradu- ated from Tampa Bay Tech- nical High School. He pursued a degree in Com- puter Science from Hillsbor- ough Community College.
Kevin loved music and all things technology related. He shared his love of music with his cousins and friends by teaching them his Deejaying skills. His love of technology made him the on call consult- ant to his family.
Prior to Kevin becoming ill, he worked in the com- puter technology field for more than twenty years.
There will be a viewing on Friday, April 15, 2016 at Wil-
son Funeral Home from 5-8 p. m. with the family present to receive friends from 6-7 p. m.

BROTHER LEROY CANNON, JR.
A homegoing celebration service of life and love for Brother Leroy Cannon, Jr., who went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 11 a. m. at New Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 3201 E. Lake Avenue, Tampa, with the Pastor, Rev. Dr. H. L. Daniels, officiating. Inter- ment will follow in Orange Hill Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by: his father, Leroy Cannon, Sr.; mother, Ruth Cannon; and his brother, Roosevelt Fryson.
Leroy Cannon, Jr. leaves to cherish memories of him with: his loving and devoted wife of 26 years, Catherine Cannon; sons, Reginald Wyche (Joanna), Stacy V. Cannon (Red), and Michael Cannon; stepson, Eddie En- gram, III (Shonquisha); daughters, Charlotte Allen, Wanda Cannon and Iris Can- non; stepdaughter, Cassan- dra McDonald; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers, Joe (Novis) Fryson and Albert Cannon, both of Tallahassee, FL; sisters, Rosa Lumpkins, Louise (Sinclair) Rhodes, and Rutha (Wesley) Johnson of Tallahassee, FL; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives; and special friends including, Deacon Samuel Williams, Eddie Randolph and Edward Charles Sims (Carolyn).
Brother Leroy Cannon, Jr. was born on July 16, 1945 in Tallahassee, FL, to the parentage of Leroy Cannon, Sr. and Ruth Walker Can- non.
Brother Cannon was con- verted and received Christ as his personal Savior under the leadership of Rev. C. D. Thompson, and he served as a faithful member of New Friendship Missionary Bap- tist Church.
He was a devoted hus- band, a proud father and grandfather. He retired after driving trucks for 53 years.
There will be a viewing on Friday, April 15, 2016 from 5- 8 p. m. at Wilson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Ruth McCray’s sun- rise was in Tampa, on Janu- ary 14, 1940 to the parentage of the late Rosa and Frank Lillie. She went home to be with the Lord on her sunset Sunday, April 3, 2016.
