From The White House To Sesame Street:
Rapper Chinx Killed
The World Mourns Death Of B. B. King
In Drive-By Shooting
From the White House to Sesame Street — many are mourning the King of Blues, B.B. King. President Obama noted King’s roots as a son of Mississippi share- croppers and lauded him as an “ambassador who brought his all-American music to his country and the world.”
“No one did more to spread the gospel of the blues. He gets stuck in your head, he gets you moving, he gets you doing the things you probably shouldn’t do,” Obama said.
King won 15 Grammys in his 70-year career and recorded more than 50 al- bums, which influenced countless musicians, said record producer Joe Boyd.
“Without B.B., there would be no Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton, and without Jimi and Eric, no heavy rock — but we should- n’t hold that against him,” Boyd joked.
“Sesame Street” tweeted a link to video of King’s ap- pearance on the show in 2001, when he sang about the letter “B” with Big Bird, Bert and Baby Bear.

so they’re the only kind of songs I sing,” he sang.
A scruffy-faced Eric Clapton stared down into his phone camera with a heartfelt message — viewed some 9.5 million times by Friday afternoon.
“I just wanted to express my sadness and say thank you to my dear friend B.B. King,” the rocker said in a video posted to Facebook after the blues legend died at age 89 Thursday night in his Las Vegas home.
One of the day’s more gut-wrenching tributes came from the 13th of King’s 15 kids, Rita Washington, who lamented that he died alone in his sleep.
“My dad grew up with a

with a broken heart. He didn’t have his loved ones with him,” she said. “God has given him wings. He’s there with family now.”
Meanwhile, King memo- rabilia saw a flurry of activity online, with one eBay seller asking $22,000 for a signed Gibson guitar.
Bidding wars quadrupled the price of some items, in- cluding signed first editions of his autobiography, “Blues All Around Me,” going for up to $300.
RHOA Kenya Moore Finds Out Boyfriend Is Married
KENYA MOORE AND JAMES FREEMAN
It’s a hard-knock life in the love department. And that cer- tainly seems to be the case for Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Kenya Moore.
Earlier this year, the reality star found love, compliments of the BRAVO hit show, Mil- lionaire Matchmaker. Thanks to Patti Stanger, Kenya met her new boyfriend James in March. During the episode, it was revealed that Kenya, who has yet to be married, had been proposed to seven times.
So what’s the latest? Ap- parently, things weren’t what they seemed with James. Kenya released a statement stating that James is cur- rently married. In fact, she dis- covered this bit of info on social media.
“Unfortunately, I just learned today that the man I met and fell in love with from Millionaire Matchmaker was married a week after the show aired. I am astounded and devastated to have learned of this news VIA social media as opposed to from him directly. However, I still believe in love and my heart remains open to the man God has for me. I wish him well.” Yikes.

Singer August Alsina Is Going Blind
August Alsina has been through a lot in his young, 22- year-old life...from poverty, to losing his older brother, to the grind of becoming a R&B star, to suffering seizures last year, to now another hurdle to overcome...losing his vi- sion.
On Friday, August re- vealed to followers that he's suffering from vision prob- lems. In an Instagram caption along with the picture above, he wrote, "So I have this eye disease.. Blind in my left, and losing vision in my right. In order to prevent my eyesight from deteriorating I had to do this surgery." The photo shows the singer with his eye- lids peeled back while a laser beams into them in a type of optic operation.

He ended the post with an important reminder; never take for granted all that life has to offer. "A lot of things that are so natural to us in life (like waking up and being able to see) we can take it for granted," he wrote. "Thank God the OG for allowing me to see.. The good the bad the ugly, I'm just glad to see."
