A post serenade Valentine treat awaits fans of The Boss, Wendell B., on Satur- day, February 16th at the “Lovers & Friends Post Valen- tine Concert,” being held in Lakeland, Florida’s Polk The- atre.
Wendell B., Southern Soul artist whose voice is rel- atively silky smooth, emerged during the early ‘90s with the single “Yu Want 2 Play Me” and released his debut album, Make It Good for Ya.
Wendell B. delivers a sensuous sound with his music, telling nothing but the truth in his lyrics, while filling your soul with some kinda feeling. Wendell B.’s deep, rich, variable baritone voice
has Southern Soul fans rock- ing to his songs.
Being compared to his idols, Luther Vandross, Will Downing and Barry White don’t bother this laid- back brother because Wen- dell B. vows to spread love through song to all of his au- diences. Wendell B. says, “fans deserve the best and I plan to give them the best. There’s a saying in the Bible ‘What comes from the heart reaches the heart’ and my goal is to touch everyone’s heart with MY LOVE SONGS!”
Too Smooth, who is pre- senting this event, says “Valentine’s Day is one occa- sion that couples and groups of single friends are cele- brated with a specialty love. Choose to celebrate with us at The Lovers & Friends Post Valentine Concert hosted by BET Comedian Terry Har- ris with Urban Mystic, Wendell B. and Sir Charles Jones. It is a con- cert you don’t want to miss!”
The official after party will be held at the Rose Heights Elk Lodge in Lakeland. For tickets and more information about The Lovers & Friend Post Valentine Concert log onto www.polktheatre.org, or call Too Smooth at 813- 244- 7474.
