 106 Deaths Attributed To Hurricane Ian
   Last week, Hurricane Ian hit Florida, leaving de- struction in several coun- ties. The Florida District Medical Examiners said 106people died in the storm.
Hurricane Ian became a Category 4 hurricane when it struck land in Sanibel Is- land and Fort Myers. Five counties reported the 58 deaths to the Medical Ex- aminers Commission.
Those deaths took place in Collier County, 1; Hendry County, 1; Hillsborough County, 1; Lake County, 1; Lee County, 42; Manatee County, 2; Sarasota, 3; and Volusia County, 5.
  Hurricane Ian brought widespread destruction with him last week. Thousands of people are newly homeless as a result of the hur- ricane.
  Hurricane Ian caused a section of the only bridge leading to Sani- bel Island to separated and relocated.
