 Mayor’s Youth Corps Recruiting For Class Of 2023
  Tampa teens wanting to give back to their community and looking for a glimpse into the workings of City Hall are invited to apply for seats on the Mayor’s Youth Corps.
The Mayor’s Youth Corps is comprised of students in grades 9, 10, or 11 who live in and/or attend a public or private high school within the Tampa city limits. Appli- cations are now being ac- cepted for one-year terms.
Applications are available on City of Tampa Mayor’s Youth Corps web- page and will be accepted until October 20, 2022, at 5 p. m. Members of the Youth Leadership Council review the applications, con- duct interviews, and make recommendations regarding acceptance into the pro-

Youth Corps members
learn about and participate in city government, meet with Mayor Castor, con- duct community service projects, participate in state
and national conferences, and run social media plat- forms that include video pro- duction. Teens also learn leadership and employability skills while serving in the Youth Corps.
The Mayor’s Youth Corps provides a forum for Tampa teens to engage with city leaders, participate in their community, connect with their peers, and learn about civics and city government.
