Showtime Sues To Stop Pirating Of Mayweather- McGregor Fight
FLOYD MAYWEATHER JR. (LEFT) AND CONOR MCGREGOR
Undefeated boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. and UFC champion Conor McGre- gor are set to face off later this month in a highly antici- pated pay-per-view event — and Showtime Networks is al- ready suing in an attempt to keep pirated streams at bay.
The Aug. 26 fight will be shown live on pay-per-view but dozens of websites are al- ready promoting unautho- rized streams.
While high-stakes boxing events typically draw sub- stantial viewers, this one has a novel twist. Mayweather is 49-0 and came out of re- tirement to take on McGre- gor in his first-ever boxing match after nearly 10 years as a professional mixed martial arts fighter. The Irish MMA star is also a decade younger than the boxer — but will have to play by different rules than he's used to and if he puts a toe out of bounds, he'll be disqualified.
Showtime is suing to stop more than 40 websites from airing an unauthorized stream of the fight. The sites are "all currently formatted as Mayweather v. McGregor blogs populated with articles that are stuffed with key- words related to the fight," writes attorney Dennis Wil- son. "Plaintiff alleges that Defendants have engaged in such keyword stuffing as a form of search engine opti- mization in an effort to attract as much web traffic as possi- ble in the form of Internet users searching for a way to access a live stream of the Fight."

Kevin Durant says he will not visit President Donald Trump at the White House if the NBA champion Golden State Warriors are invited.
"Nah, I won't do that," said Durant, the 2017 NBA Finals MVP. "I don't respect who's in office right now."
Durant spoke to re- porters on Thursday as his hometown of Seat Pleasant celebrated Kevin Durant Day for all of his achievements on and off the court.
The Warriors visit the na- tion's capital Feb. 28 to take on the Washington Wizards. The White House has not ex- tended a formal invitation to the Warriors.
Durant expounded on why he would bypass a White House visit, a ritual for professional teams com- ing off championship sea- sons.
"I don't agree with what he agrees with, so my voice is going to be heard by not doing that," said Durant, who said it wasn't an organi- zational decision. "That's just me personally, but if I know my guys well enough, they'll all agree with me."
However, Trump's divi- sive rhetoric over the past few years and his controver- sial public response to what transpired in Charlottesville, Virginia, over the weekend have caused many athletes and politicians to voice their frustrations.
"I just wanted to sit back and analyze everything and gather my thoughts," Du- rant said. "I wanted to say something immediately, but I definitely want to be the voice of where I come from and people who have come from my neighborhood and deal with oppression.
Kyrie Irving Cuts His Beard, Gets Destroyed For His New Baby Face
Cleveland Cavaliers leader Kyrie Irving has so- cial media in tears. The NBA champion blew the Internet’s mind away this week by cut- ting off his signature beard and paying the ultimate trolling price.
Kyrie initially sparked everyone’s attention by re- leasing footage of his new look.
Based on the video and initial reactions, Kyrie will show off the fresh face for just a few weeks.
The Cleveland Cavaliers point guard says he needs to be clean-shaven for the next three weeks, but he’s going to try to be as inconspicuous as possible until he can grow his beard back. “Get it out now. It’s fine. It’s fine,” Irving said in the video. He doesn’t

exactly explain why he had to shave, though he does men- tion “prosthetics” so maybe he’s filming some kind of commercial that requires lots of practical effects wizardry. Still, he says he knew the jokes are inevitable.
The Internet did not waste any time and made sure to give their thoughts on his baby face.
