Football Region Quarterfinals, Semifinals Slated For Tonight
Tampa Native Quentin Williams Is MEAC Player Of The Week
NORFOLK, Va. – Bethune- Cookman’s Quentin Williams has been selected as this week’s Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced Monday, Novem- ber 9, from the league office in Norfolk, Virginia. This is the third MEAC weekly award of 2015 for Williams.
Williams, a 5-11, 209- pound redshirt senior from Tampa, helped No. 25 Bethune-Cookman defeat its third co-champion from the 2014 campaign on the strength of a 38-14 decision against Morgan State on a B- CU Senior Appreciation Day in Daytona Beach, Florida.
Playing in his final game at home, Williams connected on 16-of-19 passing for 257 yards against a highly-touted Bears defensive unit. The
Tampa native, and former Jef- ferson High School star ac- counted for 301 yards of total offense, giving him a 215.20 pass efficiency rating for the game. In fact, Williams began the game a perfect 9- for-9 passing through half- time. After the incompletion, he connected on his next two passes, including a 44-yard
scoring strike to Frank Brown in the third quarter.
After playing football the first 10 weeks of the 2015 sea- son, the Wildcats have a bye week this week, before travel- ing to Orlando on November 21, taking on in-state rival Florida A&M in the annual Florida Blue Florida Classic at Orlando Citrus Bowl Stadium.
Football will be played all over the region tonight, Fri- day, November 13, 2015 as the Region Quarterfinals and Semifinals will be held. All games begin at 7:30 p. m.

be at Plant City; Tampa Bay Tech at Countryside; Lakeland Kathleen at Plant and Sickles at Lakeland.

Brandon at Lake Gibson; Gainesville at Mitchell; Sun- lake at Ocala Vanguard.
Class 5A – Lakewood at Je- suit; Jefferson at Gibbs; Lecanto at River Ridge; Zephyrhills at Nature Coast.
Region Semifinals Class 3A – Melbourne Holy Trinity at Clearwater Central Catholic; Winter Park Trinity
