Kevin Durant Takes Even
Heat To Retire Chris Bosh’s Jersey
CHRIS BOSH
The Chris Bosh-Miami
Heat split wasn’t exactly the most amicable, but now it fi- nally appears to have reached a happy ending of sorts.
The Heat and president Pat Riley announced on Tuesday that Bosh has officially been waived by the team and that his No. 1 jersey will be retired.
Bosh, the 11-time All-Star, played six years for the Heat and was instrumental to their four consecutive NBA Finals appearances from 2011 to 2014 and back-to-back cham- pionships. But his blood-clot- ting condition put his playing career to an abrupt halt and triggered an icy saga between Bosh and the Heat.
Clippers’ Three-Way Trade For Danilo Gallinari Agreed To
DANILO GALLINARI
The Los Angeles Clippers’ acquisition of Danilo Galli- nari as part of a three-team trade has been agreed to, ac- cording to a report.
The Clippers are getting Gallinari on a three-year, $65 million contract. Galli- nari moves to the Clippers from Denver as part of a trade also involving the Hawks.
The Nuggets will receive a 2019 second-round pick for facilitating the sign-and-trade. They also are getting Paul Millsap on a three-year, $90 million deal via Atlanta as part of a sign-and-trade. The Hawks will receive Jamal Crawford, Diamond Stone, and the Clippers’ 2018 first-round pick via Houston.
Although Crawford is part of the deal, he is seeking a buyout and reportedly has his hopes on signing with the Lak- ers or Warriors.
Cavaliers Offered Chauncey Billups Less Money Than ESPN
More Of A Pay Cut To Stay
The Cleveland Cavaliers reportedly weren’t serious enough about Chauncey Billups to pay him more than his current ESPN gig does.
A source reported Monday that the Cavaliers’ offer to Billups would have paid him less money than his cur- rent gig as an ESPN analyst gives him.
That’s pretty embarrass- ing for Cleveland. It’s un- known how much Billups makes at ESPN, but it is worth noting he signed a new
With Golden State
Kevin Durant was al- ready working on a below- market-value contract, but on Monday, the reigning Finals MVP and unrestricted free agent signed a new deal that will pay him nearly $9 million less per year than he could have received with a max con- tract.
This was Durant’s best move to ensure the Warriors were just as strong as last year, and it’s another indict- ment on the league’s salary system.
The details of Durant’s new contract are reportedly as follows: 2 years, $53 million, with a player option after the first year. That deal will give

him $25.9 million this year, which is about $600,000 less than he made last season and substantially less than the po- tential $34 million he could have made for 2017-18 had he sought a max contract.

Warriors Expected To Re-Sign Zaza Pachulia
Jamal Crawford could end up looking for a new team, and it sounds like he’d like to join the Lakers.
ESPN’s Marc J. Spears reported Tuesday about Crawford’s interest in the Lakers.
Crawford reportedly will be a part of the three-way trade between the Clippers, Hawks and Nuggets. Reports have said that he would not report to the Hawks if traded
The Golden State Warriors may be continuing to bring the gang back together.
Sam Amick of USA TODAY Sports reported on Monday that the defending champions are “expected” to re-sign center Zaza Pachu- lia.
The 33-year-old Pachulia put up 6.1 points and 5.9 re- bounds in 18.1 minutes per game for the Warriors in 2016-17. While he often made headlines for all the wrong reasons, Pachulia’s big body and bruising style of play pro-

Zach Randolph, George Hill To Sign With Sacramento Kings
ZACH RANDOLPH AND GEORGE HILL
Gordon Hayward’s de- cision to sign with the Boston Celtics was predictably not received well by Jazz fans.
Last year on the 4th of July, it was Thunder fans who felt betrayed and angry as Kevin Durant an- nounced he would be leaving Oklahoma City to join the Warriors. This year, Jazz fans are feeling the same way.
On Tuesday, Hayward announced via an article at The Players’ Tribune his days as a member of the Jazz are over and he will be joining the Celtics to play for his col- lege coach Brad Stevens.

Some burned Hayward jerseys and posted videos to social media along with the hashtag #betrayward.
There is a spending spree going on this offseason, and the Sacramento Kings are de- termined not to be left out.
The Kings on Tuesday agreed to contracts with free agents George Hill and Zach Randolph, according to reports.
The deal with Hill is for three years at $57 million.
Randolph’s deal is for two years at $24 million, per ESPN’s Adrian Woj- narowski.
Hill spent last season with the Utah Jazz. The team ac- quired Ricky Rubio in a
trade upon learning it was unlikely for them to re-sign Hill. He is a career 45.3 per- cent shooter and has aver- aged nearly 12 points per game, 3.2 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game — though those numbers have been higher in recent seasons as he’s started and played more minutes.
Randolph is turning 36 but is still a productive front- court player. He averaged 14.1 points and 8.2 rebounds per game last season for the Grizzlies. He had been with Memphis since 2009.
