Detectives are currently investigating a shooting that left a man dead Monday af- ternoon. The shooting took place in the 3400 block of N. Phillips Street.
According to the Tampa Police Department, officers responded to a 9-1-1 call about a man being dead in someone’s backyard. When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered the body of 32-year-old Julius R. Carter, of Tampa.
Based on their investiga- tion, police said Carter and an unidentified man became engaged in an altercation in the street in the 3400 block of N. Phillips Street. As the al- tercation progressed, Carter was shot several times.
After being injured, Carter ran and fell in the backyard at 3408 N. Phillips Street, where he died of his injuries. The other man in- volved in the altercation fled the scene.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Tampa Fire Rescue Para- medic Saturday. He was re- leased after posting a $500 bond.
According to the Hillsbor- ough County Sheriff’s Office website, Jaisen Randolph, 38, was charged with battery, domestic violence. Ran- dolph, 38, was arrested around 1 a.m. He was charged with a misde- meanor.

According to police, Sgt. Ronald Graham, 50, be- came involved in a domestic argument. He is alleged to have pushed the victim with his hands. The victim re- portedly received a small bruise to the wrist.
Sgt. Graham was charged with a misde- meanor battery domestic vi- olence. He was released from the Hillsborough

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is currently at- tempting to identify a woman wanted in connection with the burglary of a church. The inci- dent took place on June 25th.
According to police, the unidentified woman is shown on surveillance breaking a door window with a brick at the Bell Shoals Baptist Church, 2102 Bell Shoals Road. Once inside, the woman spent about 15 minutes inside the church, and visited several classrooms.
The woman is described as being white, approximately 20 years old, and had black hair with bangs and wearing
glasses. She is approximately 5’5” to 5’8” and weighs be- tween 120 and 135 pounds.
It has not been determined how much property was re- moved from the church. One of the items was a black tote bag that has “The Bryan Fam- ily” written in silver letters.

Recently, the Florida De- partment of Agriculture and Consumer Services released information about skimmers being left at gas stations. The skimmers are used to illegally collect information from credit cards.
The report stated that four skimmers have been located in Hillsborough County and 14 skimmers in Pinellas County. So far, 276 skimmers have been found across the state.
Last year, 219 skimmers were removed from gas pumps. Eleven of those were removed in Hillsborough County and 14 were found in Pinellas County.
