‘Jazz’n At The Ritz’ Will Be An Event To Remember
BY IRIS B. HOLTON Sentinel City Editor
Once again, members of the community will have an opportunity to dress to impress, relax, and enjoy an evening of live jazz. They will have a chance to participate in a silent auction and just socialize with their peers.
This opportunity will present itself on Sun- day, April 30, 2017, when the Positive Images Committee hosts their second “Jazz’n At The Ritz.” The evening of elegance will take place at The Ritz Ybor, 1503 E. 7th Avenue, from 5:30 p.m. until 9 p.m.
Ms. Sonya Williams, a member of the or- ganization planning the evening of elegance said, “We are excited to bring this event back to the community, just as we did in 2015. We are striv- ing to come together to raise funds for St. Peter Claver Catholic School.
“The school has dedicated over 123 years of providing quality education to impoverished el- ementary school students. In 2015, we raised over $60,000, which assisted the school in pro- viding a School Psychologist, pavilion play court, and build the digital infrastructure for these de- serving students.
“We are asking all alumni, members of the community, and local businesses to partner with
