The West Tampa CRA has been extremely busy this quar- ter, with implementing several grant programs and working with several communities, to ensure a cleaner and safer community for all West Tampa residents.
West Tampa CRA Phase 6 Alleyway Clean-up
WEST TAMPA ALLEYWAY
Beginning July of 2022, the West Tampa CRA hired a local contractor to begin Phase 6 of the alleyway clean-up ef- forts in the southwest portion of the CRA. Those efforts were well received within the com- munity. In addition, the West Tampa CRA will be releasing a Request for proposal to hire a contractor to complete a dis- trict wide alleyway cleanup which will be called the West Tampa Alleyway Clean Up Project. This cleanup effort will include all alleys that were included in phase 1 through 6.
West Tampa CRA’s Signature Historical & Cultural Event
The West Tampa CRA will be having their signature his-
torical & cultural event on Sunday, October 9th, 2022. The event will take place at the Julian B. Lane Park from 11am - 5pm. The event will include children’s activities, food trucks, local vendors, City of Tampa community resources and West Tampa CRA infor- mation.

Grant Programs Available
Vanilla Shell Grant Program - Program will as- sist property owners with inte-
rior renovations, through matching funds, this program creates a space that is ready for tenant occupancy.
Restaurant and Food Services - Program will assist with helping food and dining related businesses set up shop or expand. This program pro- vides up to $75,000 in match- ing funds.
Upstairs Residential Conversion Grant Pro- gram - Program will assist commercial building owners to create apartments out of their unused upper floors, this grant provides up to $7,000 in matching funds.
Façade Grant Program - Program can provide up to $50,000 of matching funds to
make visible improvements of non-residential properties.
Neighborhood Group Special Projects Grant Program - This program is designed to make aesthetic improvements to West Tampa Neighborhoods located within the CRA, funding available is up to $10,000 and does not re- quire matching funds. Some projects include signage, land- scaping, lighting, and much more.

ment Micro Grant Pro- gram - Program is designed to incentivize business owners to make building, structural, and site improvements to their property, the grant provides up to $10,000 and must be matched by the property owner.
