Indianapolis Colts
$230M Contract
After 14 seasons in which he became the best quarter- back in franchise history, Matt Ryan is moving on from the Atlanta Falcons.
Atlanta traded Ryan on Monday to the Indianapolis Colts in exchange for a 2022 third-round draft pick, the team announced.
The Falcons moved quickly to add Ryan's possi- ble successor, agreeing to a two-year contract with quar- terback Marcus Mariota, who is familiar with coach Arthur Smith's offensive scheme from their time to-

gether with the Tennessee Ti- tans. Mariota's deal is worth two-year, $18.75M, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Deshaun Watson was traded to the Cleveland Browns, who will reportedly sign him to a five-year, $230M deal – the richest fully guaranteed contract in NFL history.
Watson confirmed ear- lier reports of the trade in an Instagram post Friday after- noon.
Watson informed the Texans he was willing to waive his contract’s no-trade clause in order to play for Cleveland. The trade compen- sation hasn’t been finalized, but according to ESPN, the Texans are likely to get three first-round selections, a third- round pick and a late fourth- round pick, and send the

Browns a fifth-round pick along with Watson.
Watson’s new $230M contract is $80M more than the previous $150M record for fully guaranteed cash at signing.
Watson will replace Baker Mayfield, who re- quested to be traded last week.
    WNBA Star Brittney
Griner's Detention In Russia
Extended Until May 19
Davante Adams Bids Farewell To Packers: 'I Can't Thank You Enough'
A Moscow court has ex- tended WNBA superstar Brittney Griner's deten- tion in Russia on drug charges for two months. The Khimki regional court in Moscow confirmed to CBS News that it had approved the ongoing investigation and extended the term of Griner's detention until May 19.
Griner was arrested on drug charges after allegedly carrying vape cartridges con- taining cannabis oil into the country.
Griner, 31, appeared in court on Thursday as the de- cision was made. She was de- tained in February and will remain in a pre-trial deten- tion center near Moscow until her next court appearance.
CBS News sought com- ment from her agency on the extended detention, but did

not immediately hear back. Griner, who had flown in from New York, was detained on February 19 after customs inspectors at Moscow's Sheremetyevo Airport said they found the cartridges with hash oil on her, accord- ing to Russia's state-owned
news agency RIA Novosti. She faces a possible sen- tence of five to ten years in
prison on the charges.
Davante Adams' trade to the Raiders pairs him with his hometown team.
Before the transaction be- came official, the All-Pro wide receiver offered an ex- tended thanks and goodbye to what had been his only NFL home.
"To the Packers organiza- tion, I can't thank you enough for seeing in me what no one else did," Adams posted Saturday on Insta- gram. "That phone call back in 2014 was one of my most

memorable moments and I promised myself then that I would do everything in my power to repay you for taking
a chance on me. We accom- plished a lot together and even through the tough times, you always had my back and your trust in me has never wavered. For that I'm forever grateful."
Adams is leaving for Las Vegas, which sent first- and second-round picks to Green Bay for the star wideout and then agreed to terms with him on a five-year, $141.25 million deal. It makes Adams the highest-paid re- ceiver in NFL history.
Titans Acquiring Rams WR Robert Woods For 2023 Sixth-Rounder
The Titans took another swing at forming a formida- ble wideout duo.
Tennessee is acquiring Robert Woods from the Rams for a 2023 sixth-round pick, NFL Network reported.
Los Angeles had been shopping the veteran wide receiver in the wake of sign- ing Allen Robinson, and the Titans were in the market for a No. 2 target after re- leasing Julio Jones. It all amounted to Tennessee

landing one of the better sidekicks in football.
Woods shared go-to du-
ties with Cooper Kupp for four years before the latter's breakout season in 2021. The former was in the midst of another productive cam- paign himself (45 catches, 556 receiving yards, four touchdowns) when he tore his ACL during an early No- vember practice. He's ex- pected to return before training camp, at which point the soon-to-be 30- year-old will pair with rising star A.J. Brown.
