Jameis Winston Wants To 'Get Back Skinny' For Training Camp
Tyson Chandler Signs $50M Deal With Suns
Russell Wilson Mentions $25M Figure When Talking About Contract
Seattle Seahawks quarter- back Russell Wilson said Monday he is preparing to give everything he has to his job this season, regardless of how much money he makes in 2015.
Wilson is scheduled to make $1.54 million this sea- son, the fourth and final year of his rookie contract. He signed the $2.99 million deal as a third-round draft choice in 2012.
He is believed to be seeking a multiyear deal that could make him the highest-paid player in the game -- a five- year contract worth more than

$110 million, with at least $50 million fully guaranteed.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Win- ston went over what he'll be doing for the next month while awaiting his first NFL training camp when he met with the media on Friday at the league's Rookie Symposium. The first player picked in the 2015 NFL Draft has two things in mind. "Trying to lose some weight, try to get back skinny," Win- ston said. "Right now, I'm 238 (pounds). I'm trying to be my redshirt freshman year, about 230."
The other thing?
"Stay in the playbook," Win-
ston said. "I'm trying to get better every single day. I'm trying to perfect this offense and learn it more."
One of the purposes of the Rookie Symposium is to help the NFL's first-year players head off trouble. Former and current players address the rookies, some with cautionary tales of personal missteps.
Winston said the sympo- sium speaker who had the most impact on him was Pro Football Hall of Fame defen- sive back Aeneas Williams.
"His speech was just telling us that we're not normal," Winston said. "Myself, I be- lieve I'm very confident and I have that winner's mentality. But the fact that I've got to re- alize that all 250 — or how many there are of us — are not normal. We've got to carry our daily routines different than everyone else."

Tyson Chandler
Tyson Chandler, 32, has reached agreement on a four- year, $50 million-plus contract with the Phoenix Suns.
Chandler averaged 10.3 points and 11.5 rebounds in 75 games last season with the Dal- las Mavericks after being ac- quired from the New York Knicks.
It was the kiss that probably sunk his NFL career, now America’s first openly gay football player, Michael Sam, has reportedly split from his fiancee, Vito Cam- misano, after being engaged for just six months. The pair, who had been together since 2011, split and ended their en- gagement just hours after cele- brating the landmark decision by the United States Supreme Court to legalize gay marriage nationwide.

Desean Jackson Accuses Eagles Of ‘Smear Campaign’

DeSean Jackson was cut from the Eagles, now plays for the Redskins.

Serena and Venus Williams both made it to the third round on Wednesday.
Washington Redskins re- ceiver DeSean Jackson in the first episode of his new BET se- ries, accused the Eagles of launching a “smear campaign” against him in 2014, the year the team decided to move on from the player who arrived as a second-round pick in 2008.
On the very same day the Ea- gles cut Jackson, NJ.com published a story that sug- gested gang connections and claimed, citing unnamed sources, that the Eagles also were concerned about his “bad attitude, an inconsistent work ethic, missed meetings and a lack of chemistry with head coach Chip Kelly.”
Serena Williams contin- ued the quest for her twenty- first Grand Slam – and third of the year – with an impressive 6-4, 6-1 win over over Timea Babos in the second round on Wednesday.
The world No. 1 recorded 12 aces, winning 82 percent of her first serve points and hit- ting 23 winners. She looks as though she’s fully recovered from the virus that she battled during her French Open title
run, though reports to the con- trary have been swirling around all week.
It took older sister Venus a bit longer to complete her late afternoon match, but in the end she joins Serena in the third round by defeating Yulia Putintseva, 7-6, 6-4. Making her 18th appearance here, the five-time Wimbledon champion was all smiles as she waved to the fans after the nearly two-hour match.
