City Utility Customers Eligible For Water Wise Rebates
Rebates available to res- idents, business owners and contractors in Tampa Bay region
The City of Tampa has joined five local governments in partnership with Tampa Bay Water and the South- west Florida Water Manage- ment District to save water in the Tampa Bay region.
The water conservation program – Tampa Bay Water Wise – offers rebates to resi- dents and commercial prop- erty owners who take proactive steps to reduce water use and demand on the region’s water supply. Tampa’s utility customers may qualify for rebates rang- ing from $75 for residential
toilet replacements up to $250 for smart irrigation controllers.
Commercial property owners can qualify for re- bates ranging from $75 for installing high-efficiency toi- lets and urinals to $1,000 for water-saving cooling towers. Restauranteurs and food service professionals are also encouraged to change to water-efficient options for dishwashers and spray valves with rebates ranging from $50 to $400.
The Water Wise Program aims to conserve up to 11 mil- lion gallons of water per day by 2030 to help keep up with the growing water demand, which is projected to require an additional 10 million gal-
lons per day of new water supply by 2028. The pro- gram is available through the City’s partnership with Tampa Bay Water. Tampa Bay Water member govern- ments include the cities of New Port Richey, St. Peters- burg and Tampa, and the counties of Hillsborough, Pasco and Pinellas.
Visit TampaBayWater- Wise.org to learn more and see if you qualify for rebates and incentives.
