 CAC Election Is Tuesday
The East Tampa CAC (Com- munity Advisory Committee) Election will take place on Tuesday, September 14th from10a.m.-12p.m. AND 4-6:30 p. m. at Ragan Park Community Center, 1200 E. Lake Ave.
The CAC approved an email voting option at the September 7th meeting. Anyone that would like to vote by email must re- quest a ballot by emailing eva.hughes@tam- pagov.net no later than 5 p. m. on Friday, September 10, 2021. No exceptions.
Completed ballots must be submitted to Eva Hughes via the above email address by 5 p. m. on September 14, 2021. No exceptions.
In order to secure voting rights, registered members of the ETCRP who have attended a minimum of two ETCRP (gen- eral and/or sub-committee) meetings within the same fiscal year are permitted to vote.

  Former High School Star Athlete Dies
  A popular former high school star athlete and West Tampa resident recently died in Hawthorne, Florida, where he has lived for several years. Funeral services for Mr. Ellis Walker will be held this weekend.
A Tampa native Mr. Walker was the leading scorer and yardage gainer during the 1970-1971 school year. He was a member of the Tampa Catholic High School football team.
During the latter part of his life, Mr. Walker served as a coach to the schools in Hawthorne and led the team for several successful sea- sons.
He enjoyed serving as a
them later in life.
Mr. Walker enjoyed
fishing and spending time with his family.
A Memorial Service for Mr. Walker will be held in Hawthorne, FL next Thurs- day, September 16th, at 4 p.m. A Graveside Service will be held at 11 a.m., in Tampa at Rest Haven Memorial Ceme- tery on Friday, September 17th.
