WILSON
MRS. BRIDGET DARLENA NORRIS-RILEY
It is with our deepest sorrow that we inform you of the death of our beloved wife and mother, Bridget Darlena Norris-Riley, who passed on August 30, 2021. Her Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, Sep- tember 11, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Anointed Word Church, 1709 St. Joseph Street, Tampa, Florida, with Pastor Charles Davidson, Officiating. Interment will fol- low in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Bridget Darlena Norris- Riley was born in Tampa, Florida, on July 14, 1960, to the parentage of Saus Norris and Rose Marie Spires-Smith.
She was united in holy mat- rimony to Tyrone Riley.
Bridget attended the public schools of Hillsborough County and worked as a Customer Serv- ice Representative for many years. Bridget retired and be- came a full time grandmother. She was a faithful and devoted member of 3-MGM Church.
Bridget Norris-Riley was preceded in death by: her mother, Rose Marie Spires- Smith; brothers, Carl Hender- son and John Murray, Jr.; sisters, Minister Deborah Mc- Cloud-Allen, Cecilia Davis and Angelia Norris.
She leaves behind precious memories with: husband, Ty-
rone Riley; children, Hilton Williams and wife, Rekesia, She- quitha Williams and fiancé Christopher, Jarvis Williams and fiancée Carla, and Icika Andrews- Jones and husband Mario; grand- children, Marquis, Hiltonesia, Hilton 3rd, Hiltonae, D’Avion, Raven, Jayla, Jamarkis, Jari- hana, Janaya, Jamari, Marquez, and James; sisters and brothers, Selena Shannon, and husband Darrell, Patrica Howell and fi- ancé, Joseph, Katura Grayson, Belinda Norris Riley and hus- band David, Eric Worthy, James Mond, Russell Mitchell and Ciyde Smith; nieces and nephews, Phyllis Marshall and husband, Norman, Patrica Gray and husband, Charles, Apostle Charles Davidson and wife, Shonn, Mitchell Henderson and wife, Kim, Daniel Henderson, Carletta Lee and husband, Kenny, Lorraine Mitchell and husband, Carl, Daphane Cockrell and hus- band, Stetforme. Latonya Mc- Cary, Corey Norris, Mario Norris and wife, Raina, Ponchetta Cole- man, Kendra Grayson, Fredricka Grayson, Lakisha Grayson, Mal- lory Norris Deonta Davis, Dontae Davis, Devonta Davis, Teierika Fennell, Brittany Williams and husband, Jamar, Dentarius Locke, Charlene Foster, Cyanna Davidson, Chanelle Davidson and Charles Davidson, Jr., Jeffery Wilson and wife, Markia. Eugene McKinnie. Eugenia McKinnie, Jessica Wilson, Yvonne Williams, Dwayne Tillman and Rayvontae Kelly. She also leaves behind tons of great nieces and nephews. Close friends including, Johnnie Mae Williams, Carolyn Simpson, Besty Sanders and other sorrow- ing relatives and friends.
There will be a viewing on Fri- day, September 10, 2021, at Wil- son Funeral Home from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m.

MS. GWENDOLYN GAYLIA ATKINS
Celebration of Life Service for Ms. Gwendolyn Gaylia Atkins who passed away on August 29, 2021, will be held on Monday, September 13, 2021 at 11 a. m., at Mount Calvary Seventh-Day Ad- ventist Church, 4902 N. 40th Street, Tampa, Florida (40th Street and Osborne Avenue), Pas- tor Larry Johnson, with Pastor Walter Gordon, Officiating. In- terment will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery, 4207 E. Lake Avenue, Tampa, Florida.
Ms. Gwendolyn Gaylia Atkins was born on May 17, 1937 in Tampa, Florida to Mable Arm- ster.
Gwendolyn attended and graduated from Middleton High School in Hillsborough County. She continued her education and graduated from Tuskegee Uni- versity with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education, with a major in English in 1954.
Gwendolyn was a member of Mount Calvary Seventh-Day Ad- ventist Church, under the Pastor- age of Larry Johnson. She quickly found her place in ministry as a Deaconess and was always help- ing and serving others at the Church Community Center. Gwendolyn’s pleasant personal- ity was contagious to everyone she met.
Ms. Atkins was preceded in death by: her mother, Mable Armster; sister, Leola Blue and brother-in-law, Alfred Blue.
She is survived by: her loving son, Wendell Atkins; grand- daughter, Marshanna Atkins; great-grandchildren, Shani Sampson and Micah Atkins- Gardner; brother, Wallace Atkins and wife, Annie Atkins; and a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, and sorrowing relatives and friends.
The visitation will be held at Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street Tampa, Florida 33605 on Sunday September 12, 2021, from3PMto6PM. FAMILY NOTICE
MR. CHARLES WENDELL BASS
Mr. Charles Wendell Bass, 69, entered into eternal rest on Satur- day, August 21, 2021. He was born on January 21, 1952, to the late Charlie and Susie Bass.
He attended Middleton High School and graduated in 1970. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army ac- tive duty in 1975. He continued his education by studying Electronics at United Electronic Institute and later studied PC Support at Brew- ster Technical College. His profes- sion was Electrical Engineer and those familiar with him, would often see him working on some kind of electronic equipment. He has been found working with com- munity outreach as well.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Charlie and Susie Bass; brothers, Louie Hall and Alton Bass; uncles, Leon Coleman and George Coleman; and aunts, Annie Bright and Rose Overton.
Charles leaves to cherish his memory: daughters, Barbette (Bass) Brantley and Toya Bass; 5 grandchildren, Melvin Foster, III, Peter Brantley, Joe H. Fussell, Jr., Sanaa Cotton, Danaja Cotton, and several great grandchildren; his brother, Blair Bass (Tammy), of Tampa; sisters, Leta Bond, (Christopher), of Columbus, OH, Yvonne Bass and Ovita Dove, of Tampa; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
The family will have a private Memorial Service.

REV. ISRAEL JAMES MITCHELL
Rev. Israel James Mitchell, of Valdosta, GA, passed away on Friday, September 3, 2021. Fu- neral services will be held on Monday, September 13, at 11 a.m. Viewing will take place at 10 a.m. at New Hope at First United Methodist Church of Brandon.
Rev. Mitchell was born in Val- dosta, GA, where he graduated from Pinevale High School. After High school he enlisted in the United States Air Force.
Having received a call to Or- dained Ministry during his mili- tary service, after retirement Rev. Mitchell worked for the Clerk of the Circuit Court, Hills- borough County. Fl.
Rev. Mitchell pastored both Mt. Zion United Methodist Church and McCabe United Methodist Church, in Pinellas County.
He leaves to cherish: his beloved wife and First Lady Ann Mitchell; loving daughters, Sonya Mitchell and Brandi Johnson (Jumah); his mother, Elizabeth Mitchell; siblings, Frances Bryant, Beatricia King, Carol Brown-Mitchell, and Anthony Mitchell; sons, James T. Mitchell and Tajar Ray (like a son); god- son, Brandon Ray; grandchil- dren, Demetrick J. Mitchell, Jayah K. Johnson, Ty R. John- son, Jocelyn Mitchell, Destiny Mitchell; and a host of other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
