Former Bucs Defensive End Steve White Dies At 48
The Honorable Bryan J. An- thony is hearing the case in a suit filed by fired police officer Jarda Bradford. The hearing began on Tuesday, August 30th, and is expected to continue through Friday, Sept. 2, 2022.
The case is being heard by the State of Florida Division of Adminis- trative Hearings.
Ms. Bradford filed the suit against the Tampa Police Dept. after she was fired.
At issue is whether the Tampa Po- lice Department engaged in employ- ment discrimination and retaliation on the basis of Bradford’s race in vi- olation of the Florida Civil Rights Act, including several allegations.
Ms. Bradford, a Detective with the department at the time of the in- cident, was fired in January of 2021, following allegations that she violated

Ms. Bradford was arrested in December 2020, for tampering with evidence, but was not charged. She re- portedly altered photos after the fact and submitted them as evidence in the case which occurred on December 17, 2020.
      STEVE WHITE
Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive end Steve White has died at a young age of 48.
Several of White’s former team- mates posted the news on Twitter on
Tuesday night.
White, who was diagnosed with
chronic lymphocytic leukemia eight years ago, announced in April that he needed a bone marrow transplant.
The Eagles made White a sixth- round selection out of the University of Tennessee in 1996. He played seven NFL seasons, the final one with the Jets in 2002, though he never played a down for the Eagles.
Philadelphia tried to move him to linebacker from his natural position of defensive end and ended up cutting him in the 1996 preseason. The Bucs signed him to their practice squad.
When he reported to Tampa Bay, White weighed 235 pounds and was not activated to the 53-man roster for six weeks. He played at 271 pounds.
White played 94 career games with 15 starts and 119 tackles and 11.5 sacks.
